Is it okay to scratch everything and elope!?!
Ok, I am planning a wedding with less the 50 days to go. I barely have anything done and I have no help. Everyone who said they would help me get this wedding together in 3 months bailed, and so I am going it entirely alone. However, everyone around me seems to be able to find time to complain to me about everything I pick, yet they can't find time to help me.
I am so far past the point of frustration, that I want to call the whole thing off and elope somewhere. I mean, that would be okay right? I have sent out invitations, but no one has hardly responded, and I am the one footing the bill for this shindig that everyone insisted I had to have when all I wanted was for Chris and I to go to Vegas. Should I just stick it out for the next six weeks, or can I just scratch it all and go with what I wanted to do to begin with? |

An Ipod as my DJ?
Ok, well, I found out today that my reception venue will not allow a dj, however, they have an Ipod hook up to a surround-sound pa system. I am cool with this, but, what the heck do I put on the Ipod!?!

Fire truck cake topper?
Ok, yet another endless debate with people. Chris and I are both firefighters. He works for Bagdhad FD, and I can't list my dept, but it is a big bust city in Texas. Now, I picked a pretty bling-a-riffic cake top, our monogram.....and everybody LOVES it! however, being the firebug that I am, we have a miniature lego firestation at my station. Not only me, but my entire crew thought it would be cool to put our lego fire truck at the top that we had pesonallized to look like our aerial ladder truck. (175 feet baby!) I also think that would be a great tribute to the guys that have my back every shift so that I get to go home to my family. How could i encorporate the two without being cheesy?

The great garter debate....
Well, I bought my garter from ebay and got it in the mail today. My mom HATES it. I have an abnormal obsession with Batman. My nickname is even BatKim. It is a huge joke with all my friends and family. So, just to add a little touch of me to the ceremony, I thought the batman garter was cool. My mom said it needs to be more traditional. I do like the other ones alot, but how can I incorporate the two?

Oh my God, someone HELP me!
I had my truck broken into at Christmas and my wedding gown was STOLEN! It is Maggie Sottero style Beth, the Diamond white with the black. I searched forever and saved for a year to get this dress. I have called 147 bridal shops in the USA and I can't get it. If someone, ANYONE, has one that they want to sell or rent, PLEASE contact me. I am totally heartbroken because this was my dream dress....I am so bummed!
