Bridal Portrait Sitting (CANCELLED)

Okay I was to have a bridal portrait sitting done this Thursday as my dress #2 Sophia Tolli – Emily dress was to be finished. When I went last week to pick-up my dress I was so stunned…..I just took my dress and went to my other bridal salon where I purchased my Allure gown to have Lana take a look.

I am having it re-done yes re-done $750.00 alterations look like hell! But I am not worried as Lana will fix things for me. Yes more money.

Now how do I handle the poor service and quality of the alterations I received from Ethos’s Bridals? I was so angry last week and busy I did not say a single word. What should I do? What would you do?

Well I think that if you wanted anything done about it you would have had to say something when you picked up the dress. But on the other had I would try to tell them something before the dress gets fixed cause Im sure once its fixed they will not do much about it.  Im really sorry about your mess up really sad. Good luck hope all works out well for you..

Call! Dont get the dress fixed yet. Stay calm, you don't want them to think your are some crazy bridezilla. Tell them what your issues are, make an appointment to have them look at it with the person who did the alterations ASAP. Make sure you have copies of any paperwork with you. If they aren't willing to work with you tell them you will be calling and reporting them to the BBB (if they are a member) or your local wedding magazine. Make sure you stay calm tho, I know I would be through the roof if something like that happened to me. Write down where the problems are before you call and stay focused. Hopefully it will work out one way or another. Good Luck!

I would still say something! It is your dress and your money! You don't have to be mean, but let them know what they did wrong and that you had to go to another seamstress to get it fixed, maybe they can offer you money back or something else. At least they can know that you would not recommend them to anyone else.

I am so sorry that happened to you. I would have said something right off if you had noticed it. They most likely won't do anything if it has already been fixed by someone else, so please wait if you can so you can show them the problem areas. Good luck. Get your money back first though before you go to another lady!

I totally agree with princessofdenial - show them what is wrong and talk with the person who did the work - maybe it can be fixed with them obviously at no extra cost. If they are difficult report them and advise you will be telling everyone you know how poor their service was.  Good Luck Sheri

Go back and ask to speak to the manager, and calmly explain you are very disappointed in the job that was done. This is your wedding dress, and you would either like it fixed, or a partial refund the added expense that you now have to incure. Whatever you do, don't freak out or yell. I work in customer service, and believe me, you will get much further and people more willing to help if you are calm but firm about what you want.
