My worst wedding mistake

Nuance Occasions Wedding Day Coordinator Laurie Gettis

Okay so the worst decision I guess we made was the Wedding Planner we hired for the Day of Coordination and set-up.

What a nightmare.

I should have realized that when I met with Laurie and Joyln of Nuance that my gut instinct was NO. They both blew off my concerns about the set-up being done in a timely manner on the day of the wedding.

Now I find out from all the other vendors and the venue that things were as bad as my relatives said. Prior to about 5:45pm our cocktails were to begin at 6:00 the dining room was not set-up and as a matter of fact boxes were strewn all about and nothing was ready.

Thanks to my relatives who just stepped in things did manage to get set-up as best they could do with no instructions or direction.

So many things were not used, or simply not set-up correctly as my relatives did not have all the floors plans, lists etc but the coordinator Laurie was not interested in getting any assistance..

So beware……..

We placed two cameras on each of the guests tables each camera was able to take 27 photos.
Summary out of the 621 possible pictures we got a 22% return and most of those are a very poor quality.
Wish I was warned before I threw that cash away.Just have a couple of friends with digital cameras snap pictures for you.
There are many disposable digital camera pitfalls that many users are not aware of when they buy disposable cameras. The number one pitfall is that you can only use it once. Second pitfall is that most of the time you cannot upload the pictures to your computer yourself. It has to be done by the store where you bought the disposable camera. They will make a disc that will have all the pictures on it.
Another one of the disposable digital camera pitfalls is the megapixels. The quality of the picture is low because the megapixels are low. If you are planning to take pictures of a wedding or a child’s birthday, you want a camera that has a higher resolution than what a disposable camera does. The function of a disposable camera is another disadvantage. You will not have all the available features on a disposable digital camera as you do on a digital camera that you use over and over again.
