ATTENTION JANUARY BRIDES - My Worst Fear Realized
Changing the Wedding Date!!!!!!!
So I am just now getting over my freak out....
So thank you United States Navy, my FI is probably going to be deployed in March now, so our planned April wedding is pretty much impossible at this point. After much talking and yelling and crying we have decided to try and get married in January (originally when my bridal shower was going to be) So in short, the 6 months I though I had to plan has now become three and a half! I NEED HELP If you are a January bride please TELL ME WHAT I HAVE TO HAVE DONE AT THIS POINT!! WHEN SHOULD MY INVITES GO OUT? I already sent out over 100 save the dates, all of which now have the wrong day....arg. What a headache! |

Table Numbers, Directions
So one of the WBC brides asked how I made these, and it was so easy I figured I share with all of you. After all, I wasn't the original creator of these anyway (Thanks road to the aisle!)
Materials 1) Glass cylinders 8 x 3 1/2 (from flowers and supplies.com) 2) Transparent Clear Paper (purchased from Michael's) 3) Lavender Ribbon 5/8" (two spools), Black Ribbon 1/4" (two-three spools) 4) Super Tacky tape (1) 5/8" (1) 1/4" roll (Michael's) I used Microsoft publisher to type the table numbers onto a custom template with a 7.25 x 11" page. I used the font Ambiance BT swash (again thanks road to the aisle!) the word table is size 121 and the number is size 205. Print it out and wrap it around the cylinder. secure with two strips of the larger size tape. Use two more pieces of the larger tape to wrap the purple ribbon around the top and bottom of the font. then use the smaller tape to wrap the black ribbon along the purple ribbon. AND YOU'RE DONE! I'm going to finish the rest of them tomorrow i think and I will post more pictures of me actually making them, that might help. |

Are different shades of purple O.K.?
So When I ordered the paper for my invitations the paper I chose was a lighter irridesent purple then the purple I chose for my BM dresses. Now I am having some thoughts about how the two colors will look. The paper I bought I am also planning on using for the programs, menus, place cards etc. Since this color will predominate should I use the coloring of the cake etc in the lighter paper color or the darker dress color? Does it even matter?

Bridesmaids
Beautiful Bridesmaids! Missing Home...
So two of my BMs picked up their dresses yesterday, so all five of them have their dresses. phew! Arn't they beautiful???
Seeing their pic makes me miss being home in RI where they are. I am planning this wedding from where I am living now in San Diego and I wish that I could be there physically for all of the dress fittings and meeting and such. Any one else planning their wedding from far away? |
