With our wedding just a little over a year away I'm trying to seriously start looking into photographers. Especially since it will be in June I figure they might book fast.
Right now we're in contact with a photographer who lives in the D.C. area...we live in the suburbs of Chicago. We've been in correspondence for a few months now. We found her pictures on a photo sharing website and really like her style. So far she seems great and the costs are reasonable. We're going to meet with her in a couple weeks in person. Does anyone have any thoughts on using a photographer from out of state?
We'll probably look at some other places around this area as well so I'm wondering...do any Chicago brides or soon-to-be brides have any stories or experiences to share about photographers around here? Thanks!

I don't see a problem with using an out of state vendor. The only thing I would want to make sure is that he/she is available to you for questions, suggestions & ect. Of course I would make sure this person is a real photog...  Most of the photographers in our area (KY) do a lot of business  in your area. Smart move on starting early. June is a cRaZy wedding month for vendors. Good Luck!
