Wedding Flowers

Florists...Hit or Miss

So in my mission to get stuff accomplished this summer my mom and I went and met with two florists, one yesterday and one today. The one we went to yesterday was a lot of fun. She was really helpful and seemed in the know about what flowers go well together. This is good for someone like me who pretty much knows nothing about flowers or what she wants for her wedding. I told her elegant and she had lots of ideas. She even gave us a couple of roses to take home with us!
Then today we went to another florist that was a completely different experience. First of all when I called the place I made my appointment for 1:30 and then the woman called back to say that someone had just booked that appointment too and she moved me to 3:00. She told me that the other couple would be finished by then. So we went there today and the couple was still there. There were two ladies working in the store and one was meeting with them. The second lady (after making us wait quite awhile) finally met with us. She really had no input and when I asked her questions about flowers she couldn't really offer suggestions. She more just asked me what I wanted for each item on the list. I found it frustrating and I walked out annoyed. Especially since the lady meeting with the other couple seemed way more knowledgable and I couldn't help thinking that we were supposed to be meeting with her. Oh and by the way, the other couple was still there at 4:00 when we left meaning they had a 2 1/2 hour consultation. Who does that?
I'm sorry to rant. I'm really not crazy, I just felt really frustrated upon leaving. Needless to say I think we'll go with the first place...
