Save the Date....when?
Just curious...how much time ahead of the wedding is it good to send out save the date cards? Our wedding is not until June of 2009 so we've got a little while to go but when would be a good time to do it?

My wedding is also a long long time from now, but I'm planning to send mine as soon as I have a ceremony & reception location decided.

4-6 months if no out of town guests. If there are out of towners or if the wedding is on a holiday weekend 6-8 months, but I wouldn't do any sooner that that because people will end up forgetting. Good luck.

I think anything beyond 6 months is way too far in advance unless you have out of towners or if your wedding is around any major holiday (or a sporting event that gets a lot of buzz in your city). Then I would do 6 months in advance. Other than that 4-5 months is plenty of time.

Your invitations should follow 2-3 months after your STDs. You don't want people thinking they wont be getting an invitation especially since a lot of people include Formal invitation will follow on the STDs.
