OK ladies, this is what I have been working on for the past three weeks. This is going to be my card box at my wedding. This was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be lol. It is very frustrating and time consuming. I started over like three times before I got the result I wanted lol. But here it is and I love it. It is totally my personality and it is going to look fabulous doubling as my centerpiece for my gift table. I am going to add a ribbon connecting all the boxes like a week before the wedding because I have to store this thing now and it will be easier if they are separated. Ok one down and like a hundred DIY projects to go lol :)
it looks great! yeah i bet it did take some time. Any tips to make it less frustrating for the next person who tries to make their own card box? a.k.a. myself. lol
This looks great! I don't know why, but I'm always amazed at how talented the ladies are on this site. Everyday I see something great and think, "Oh my gosh, that is amazing!" Good job girl!
Thanks so much ladies for all of your comments. I really appreciate all of them :) To pcbbride2be, That is fabric around the boxes. The actual boxes I got from michael's they are paper mache boxes and they come in three's like that. And I used spray adhesive(fyi get the spray that allows you to move the fabric around before it sets so you can be able to smooth out the creases. And if you use satin fabric don't spray the actual fabric it will stain, just spray the box and allow it to get tacky and then apply the fabric). To crystalm17, The only thing I can say is plan out what you want first and try to envision how you want your box to look. What took a long time for me was that I would do something not like it take it down and start over again. And try to buy all of your pieces that you want on it at the same time. I went shopping for this thing like 4 times before I had all of the things I needed for it. But other than that have fun with it and don't be afraid to go a lil wild :). To mrsblalock2be I got the rhinestone trim from Joann's and it is a lil pricey at 7.99 a yard I initially got it for my candle holders but I thought it looked perfect on the box. :) Thanks again ladies for all of your great comments and support you guys are such a big help to me :)

FINALLY after searching for about 15 mins I found the post I was looking for...your card box! Where did you get that rhinestone trim that you've got around the slot where the cards go? I am DYING to have it but I can't find it anywhere!!
I read that you got it at Joanns after I sent that post LOL We don't have a Joanns here that I'm aware of, but I think I read some girls got theirs at Walmart...so I'm gonna check there this weekend...
You did wonders…it’s beautiful!
