Ask a Question
Do you let it go in front of him? (Fart)

I thought that this was interesting and took this from one of our brides here a couple of years ago. (Sabrinav) .I saw this article on thenest.com and thought it was cleverly fun haha. This is totally me and Dave, we don't "toot" infront of each other, we just don't! Are you like this couple or are you more of a "free-winded" couple?

The Article is called: In Defense of (Non) Fart Club

Lest anyone think that Holly has somehow browbeaten me into not farting around her, I just want to go on record and say that the whole non-farting thing just happened (or didn't happen) organically.

I'm the type of guy who would pretty much never fart in front of ANYONE (sure, that rule may have been broken once or twice, but come on). In fact, farting would probably never have even come up in conversation between Holly and me if we hadn't gotten a dog. But the dog is a total stinker, and that sort of broke the ice.

But the fact we?ve never forged through the farting frontier (at least the human one) is probably just an extension of the way Holly and I behaved when we were dating, which had everything to do with us being young, vain, and crazy self-conscious. I guess I?ve always pictured a husband the way I did as a kid: old, disgusting, and just sort of a ?Dad? archetype. I've never seen myself that way, and I definitely don't want to be seen that way. So I act accordingly.

I realize I?m a dying breed. One of my friends just doesn?t give a f*@# about letting one loose in front of his girlfriend. She actually told me that he comes into the bathroom and drops a deuce while she?s taking a shower! That completely blew me away when I heard it. It's like wait five minutes, dirt bag! To me, that complete lack of modesty equals "I don't care what you think,? which is no attitude to have in a relationship.

So here?s the verdict: I'd like to preserve the integrity of Holly's image of me for a little while longer...as long as possible, actually. Tell me I'm not the only guy out there who feels this way.

Anyone? Anyone?

Sorry we're tooters and proud of it! LOL! I don't know if it just happened on accident one day or even who started it. But we do let it rip if need be. I'll try to go walk away or do the good ole 'silent' one, but that just comes back even stronger. It could be we're just so comfortable around each other from being together for 14 years. It could be we've seen each other at our best and worst. But I don't see it as not preserving our image of one another,I just think once you're comfortable enough to be able to do any of that, your relationship can only get stronger!

This is too funny!!!!! Hahahahahaha!!!!!! But to answer the question, we will let it go!!! And my FH will ask, do I feel better afterwards. LOL!!! We are just really comfortable around each other. But I know my BF mom will not fart or do #2 while her husband is in the house and they have been married for 18 or 19 years....lol. I dont care, we are all human and if you let it sit there, you will eventually be sick! LOL!!

So let me say this....to not "let it go" has nothing to do with not being comfortable for us. We do not do that, and also we teach our children to be self controlled about this around others. For us, this is how we are "more comfortable". That is not to say it never happens, but we sure just don't "let it rip".
