So babies have become a hot subject in our house the last year or so, and it used to be me who was the broody one but now my FH has definitely caught up!!! He cant wait to have children and to be honest neither can i.
We have little nieces and nephews and cousins on both sides so always surrounded by children so we cant wait to have children, we are thinking about trying pretty soon after the wedding.
At the moment alot of friends of ours have been having babies etc and it gets you thinking- especially on the name debate!
Do you and your Fhs have your names ready yet or am I the only one??? LOL
So i thought, for fun, if you have already, tell us the names of your future children or children that you have already been lucky to have.
Ours so far- we have the boy name sorted but girls is more tricky LOL
Being from two different countries we have compromised on an International first name (something that would work in both) then a turkish middle name then the turkish surname (Yanatma)
For Boys
Our favourite name is Noah Taylan (pronounced Thai-lan) We also like Isaac, Taner,Enver and Evren, and some others but we are firm on Noah
For Girls
Our favourite is Tabitha Rüya (pronounced Ree-a and it means dreams in Turkish)
but we also like Esmeray (esme-rai),Elif, Bella, Isla, Ruby,Sydney and Liv and i love Dylan for a girl but Recep hates it !
Plenty to choose from!!
So what about you ladies?
Do you already have children and want to share their names or are you like me and just have them ready and waiting??
For girls -Addison (he doesn't like but I LOVE), Emma, Isabel, and Madelyn.
We are also planning on using my last name (it's pretty unique so theres not many of us) for a middle name somewhere b/c it's just me and my lil sis so I names will be lost if we don't throw it in someone...
Girl: Scarlett
Boy: Logan
we have a 21 month daughter her name is Mary Jayne after my grandma who is one of my biggest role models..
we are also expecting baby #2..just found out!! if its a boy his name will be Isaiah Cameron..Isaiah after our best friend who went missing 2 1/2 months ago and cameron is my finance and his dads middle name
if its a girl we will name her Elizabeth Marie, after my uncle who was my godfather who pasted away in Nov from stomach cancer, he told me since i was a little girl he loved the name Elizabeth and when i have a daughter i should name her elizabeth..marie is his wife my godmothers name.
BOY: I like Malik (No for my FH and whole my family just because of one stupid movie;)), Mahir (like it a lot), Adnan (love it and love him, but still in immediate family)My FH would go with very common names in our culture (BORINGGGGG)
So in conclusion, it is not gonna be easyyy. Good thing we have at least 9 months to think about it.
Boy: Gabriel Michael
He actually LOVES Koryn, and his parents know it. They honestly weren't sure that he would ever get married and have kids, so they were offering to name their newest doggie Koryn. I said NO.
His family traditionally is filled with boys. I'm hoping to break that streak when it happens and give them a girl!
Girls- We only have one name and its Kynzi Meredith-Grace (Meredith in honor of my best friend who passed away it was her last name and Grace bc my name means Grace in Hebrew!)
Boy- Coran William (i don't care for that name, but he loves it)
since both of our names begin with a C we wanted to keep the trend goin....lol..
For girls- Kennedy
For boy or girl- Kaylen
We don't need anymore names cause I'm not having more than 3 kids! LOL
Here are some ideas that I and we have thought of:
Girls: Lia (my absolute favorite!), Brooke, Madelyn, Anna, Charleigh, Ellie, Emma, Ella, Lexi
Boys: Brice (a family name, but my FH doesn't like it), Ty, Jared, Jarrett, Jake, Ryland
Were having 1 more- if it's a girl, she'll be Natalee Jane, and if it's a boy it'll be Aaron Everett. Both middle names are family, Aaron was my grandpa (the most amazing man in my life .... aside from the FH name). :)
Boys- Aiden and Conner
Girl- Ally is our favorite, however her middle name will be Kay after my mothers middle name, and we don't want kids calling her Ally Cat. Soooo....Briann and Ava are the next chooses.
But FH is determined we are having twins or triplets....So I guess if that really happens we can expect to use a few of the names. Ha ha ha.
Isabella for a girl ( which means consecrated to God)
boy- logan reid
girl - Kennedy Rae or Kerigan Rae
We hope for better luck when we actually start "trying" after the wedding.
to answer your question, NOPE! that's part of being pregnant, to us. sometimes its tempting to dream about the future, but im just trying to live in the moment. anyway, we're both in college, so we've got enough going on to keep us busy.
i really enjoyed reading through these names though :)
So many different names there and so many i have never heard of!! Being from the UK there are a few names there that i have never heard of but i LOVE them!! I have never heard of Hurley, Kynzi or Kerigan before but think they are fab names!
may23bride2be- you have some names that me and my FH had talked about he loves Esma and Adnan too- very popular here in Turkey! :-)
I also think its lovely how so many of you are naming your children after people you know- family and friends etc- think thats such a lovely tribute to them
meme2138 I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage :-( the names you have are beautiful and i am sure that you will be able to use them in the near future - Logan and Kennedy are gorgeous names :-)
Girls: Madison Elise, Morgan Elaina, McKenzie Erianna
Boy: Marcus Eugene
Madison Elise is a gorgeous name :-)
and
Audrey Mae for a girl
Girl: Sophia Elizabeth
Boy: Seth Thomas
I'm not going for the whole 'name your kids with the same letter of the alphabet' but it worked out that way... if we have 2 boys or 2 girls THEN he'll have a say in their names :-P
We don't have a girl's name though, we can't agree! I thought we had agreed on Victoria Anne, but when I started talking about it recently my FH said he didn't like it anymore, oh well, back to the drawing board. That just means we have to have a boy first- although that's what we want :) What's better than a big brother?
For Boys - Ayden Allen or Austin Allen
For Girls - Aubrianna Elyse or Arianna
For a boy: Brayden Michael (I LOVE the name Brayden...I first heard it while working in a daycare for several months...which definitely helped confirm my decision to wait several YEARS to start making babies LOL!!! But still, that's where I first heard the name Brayden and fell in love with it!! I'm not sure if my FH is on the same page as me or not yet, cause he's a Jr. and I'm not sure if he's planning on naming our son (or our 1st son at least) after himself and his dad which would be William Earl S....., III. I'm not a huge fan of using the same name over and over again, I think Sr. and Jr. is enough, so I don't think there's any need to keep the name going after that...so I hope he's not really set on naming our son after himself and his father. Honestly, I just can't picture myself calling our son Bill, or Billy...or Will or Willy....LOL sorry but I just can't picture myself calling our son by any of these names....so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Brayden Michael!!!)
For a girl: Brooklynn Nicole (this one's much less complicated...my FH likes it too!! The only problem is one of his nieces is named Brooklynn but I had already picked out this name before I even met my fiance and before I ever met any of his family!!)
as for a girl we are still undecided. His last name ends with an A and a bunch of the names i like for a girl (like Emma) End in an A and it just doesnt sound right together.
don't have a boys name idea though
LOVE the name Landon- gorgeous- reminds me of 'A Walk To Remember'- love that film! :-)
1. Byron Scott - we met at Byron Dragway & scott is his first name
2. Garner Ayden - we just like vintage sounding names
3. Nolan Kylar - once again vintage sounding names
Girls -
1. Avalon Elizabeth - Ava for short and Elizabeth is a family name
2. Wynter Faye - he picked this one
3. Aubrey Ireland - no clue where this middle name came from
I love having names that are different and unique- love the name Wynter.
Another vintage name i like is Harlow- And Nicole Richie called her little girl Harlow Winter!
Good Choices :-)
FH and I are not having children together, however we do have kids. My daughter is Raven and his daughter is Becky..
Girls: Emma Rose, Madison Rylee or Olivia Shae
Boys: Tristan Jaymes or Shane Rhyen
