Disappointed...

Not the best start!!!

I originally met and booked the wedding decorator / florist lady back in June when my Mum and Dad were out here on holiday, so they got to meet her and we explained what we were looking for etc.
We chose an Invitation design we all loved and asked if they did it in other colours and her response was ‘any colour you like’ (I bet you can see where i am going with this!)

Anyway she has been busy all through the summer with weddings etc and i know mine is not for another year, so i havent been in to see her, and then we finally arranged the first meeting and this is why i booked an appointment:
We are getting married abroad, and my Mum and Dad god bless them, are paying for most of it (her services especially) so me and FH are going back to the UK in November for a few months to visit and plan the wedding etc and my Mum asked me to get some ideas from her, and take some photos of some mock ups she can do so any accessories or wedding things we buy in the UK will match up.
ALSO our wedding is in September next year and its coming up to September now, and i have NO idea about what type of flowers etc you can get here in Turkey at this time of year, so i thought it was best to ask now, and she was going to make a mock up of a centrepiece and bouquet for me to have a look at. So Melike (the planner) asked me to put some pictures together of things i liked and the colours i wanted (black, white and fuschia) to show her. No problem (have attached them to the left to show you what i showed her).

This was the first time FH was coming with me to help with things and he was excited too bless him, we have written out the script for the invitations and worked out the numbers, I was just going to show him the one we had picked, get his approval and order them.
We got in there today at the time SHE asked for and i just felt like i never had her attention properly, like her mind was somewhere else. I know she has other weddings to sort out as well but this was MY appointment and we are paying her as much (maybe more than the average turkish bride over here) and i just felt like she was rushing me 
We went to order the invitations, and SURPRISE SURPRISE they cant do them for us…talk about gutted. They are the ONLY ones i like. We are having a modern wedding and all the rest of the invitations are very traditional turkish (lots of ruffles and ribbons and OTT- not my style at all!) so i was upset but thought never mind onto the flowers…

Showed her all 10 or so pictures and i got a ‘hmmmm’ hmmmmm??????
She is not sure if she can get ‘that colour’- its pink! Who cant get pink???? The bouquet i would love has different shades of pink in it, I said to her it doesnt really matter what TYPE of flower its more important to get the COLOUR right and something simple and modern and she just didnt know. I felt deflated. I went from excited to upset in about 10 seconds flat.
I understand with the heat here that alot of flowers would be difficult etc but ALL OF THEM????
So she said she will see what she can do for me, she will go through my pictures and try her best. I really like her and do trust her from seeing other weddings she has done but they were all very different style weddings to what i want.

Silver lining is she is having a new catalogue of invitation design in tomorrow so she has asked me to go back and look at them to see if there is one i like, hope so!

Just feel a little disappointed ladies, i didnt expect for everything to go right but for all of it to go WRONG????

Here’s hoping tomorrow is better!!!! Fingers crossed
