1. TAKE YOUR TIME WALKING UP THE AISLE

3.DON’T BE AFRAID TO SAY YOU DON’T LIKE SOMETHING
‘I wanted a messy look for my hair but it ended up too formal as i was afraid of making a fuss and asking my hairdresser to change it’.
4.HAVE A PLAN FOR THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING
‘I spent most of it on my own because my parents and bridesmaids were staying elsewhere. It would’ve have been nice to have got excited together’.
5.MAKE A LIST OF PHOTOS YOU’D LIKE TAKEN
‘I wish i had one of me with my grandad. He died when we were on our honeymoon. Luckily we had a disposable camera on each table and someone managed to get an informal shot of u together, but i’d have loved a Professional keepsake’

7.CHECK THE SPORTING FIXTURES
‘Are any big football or rugby matches scheduled for your big day? The six nations final clashed with ours, which meant lots of men were watching it- and cheering- during our drink reception. I wasn’t very impressed’
8.BE REALISTIC ABOUT HOW LONG IT TAKES TO GET READY
‘I started getting ready far too late som y last half hour was a mad panic. I’d have loved to have been able to have relaxed and have a drink with my bridesmaids instead’.
9.GIVE YOURSELF A DAY OFF AFTER THE WEDDING
‘We had to get up at 8am after a late night to go on honeymoon- not great when you then have 20 hours of flying ahead of you’

We chose to do the Gay Gordons and, while we were never going to be Fred and Ginger, we could’ve done better!’
