Wedding Reception
The Perfect Tea Room!!!

So, even though we have only been engaged for about 2 weeks now, I have been racking my brain for the entire time about where to have a wedding on a budget! WELL, I think I finally found the perfect place! It's in a state park in Frederick, MD in the Catoctin Mountains, called Gambrill State Park Tea Room. The great room is GORGEOUS with an old cabin feel to it with hardwood floors and tall ceilings with wooden beams going across. Attached to the great room is a beautiful balcony that overlooks the mountains. We are holding the reception in the tea room, and having the ceremony at an overlook right next to the tea room, that overlooks everything. It is absolutely stunning and I just know it will be the perfect place for our small intimate wedding. Better than anything... it's only $120 a day to rent!!! Since it is a state park it is a lot cheaper, the only down side is you have to do a lot of the work yourself, but thats alright, gotta get my DIY hands to work!!! :) I am so excited and feel like I got so much accomplished just by finding the place lol... 1st off welcome to WBC you'll find so much inspiration here I know I have, and second your location sounds beautiful!!! The venue was the hardest decision for me so it's good your getting that out of the way!!

Think this venue is beautiful! I could see Mason jars and fresh picked daises here! That may or may not be your theme, but I could totally see it working at a venue like this.

Thanks Laurie, I love it! We really wanted to have our wedding here in San Francisco or a destination in the caribbean, but we both have older family members that cannot travel too far from home, and it's important to us that they are there.. So back to Maryland it is! lol I was actually thinking about doing something with mason jars, just have to put all of my ideas together. I have been slacking big time with planning the past week or so lol
