Where can I find a classy fake e-ring?

With my new job as a counselor in a psychiatric hospital I am going to be restraining patients. This is not only hands on restraints, but also in papoose boards and with leather restraints. I love my ring, but since it has such a high setting I'm really worried it will get caught on something.

- Should I worry? Could I loose my diamond?
- Do you wear a fake ring?
- Where can I get a classy looking one?!?!
I want one similar to mine, kind of the vintage look

I understand you! I would get a fake ring, look on QVC, Sears, or HSN. I love the rings on QVC. Good luck!

For sure get an insurance on your ring, is not that expensive few bucks a month; add it to your home insurance. A plain band might work for you?

I just wouldn't wear a ring to work, becasue your ring (fake or real) could get stuck on something, which may cause you to get injured.  Do what nurses & doctors do that work primarily in the O.R. -  don't wear your ring.

that is quite a pickle. i don't even know what to suggest to you. i suppose QVC like budgetqueenrhena suggests. what about buying a silver chain to put your ering on & wear around your neck when you work (a la carrie in sex & the city when her & aidan were engaged). otherwise, i'd say, if you arent planning on getting your ering & wedding band put together permanently, just wearing your wedding band to work - but thats about 8 months or so away!

why even bother wearing one, expensive or not, that could still get caught or injure you, a patient or a coworker by scratching faces/hands/etc? i work with my hands a lot too (but more in a construction sense) and was worried about losing the diamond or getting it caught that i just decided the best thing to do is leave it at home where i know its safe. its not like you aren't engaged without it. but that's just my opinion... and i'm not very sentimental.

I'm getting a tattoo to represent my ring instead of the ring itself at work.

Thankfully my partner got me a fake ring first and then we bought wedding sets.
If you feel the need to wear a ring (I do!) get a cheapy. In australia we have jewellery stores who do created diamonds which look exactly like real engagement rings.
When I worked in childcare we weren't allowed to wear rings so I put mine on my necklace.
You can lose a diamond! Get your ring insured!

Thanks for the advice ladies! I can't wear it on a necklace, when those kids need to be restrained they grab for everything, and necklaces go flying! Even worse is hoop earrings!! I know I probably shouldn't wear a ring at all, but I would really hate to not have one on :(

I'm wearing our promise ring which looks more simple, and only for special occasion I put on my engagement ring. Maybe you can put your ring in your bag first, and after off from work, you can wear it again.

my husbands mom works for a jeweller and she told me for when I work that its always a good idea to get a fake ring to wear to work because of wear and tear on your real ring.  i am going to try to get a hold of her to ask her where she thinks its best to find a fake ring.  good luck and hope this helps:)

You've posted several times about your tight budget - I just bought a beautiful wide eternity band that actually looks quite similar to the band of your E ring on Overstock.com for about $30 w/ $3 shipping!  It is what I am using as my wedding band as I don't plan to wear my E ring very often after the wedding.  If I do it will be on my right hand.  Worth checking out...
