Wedding Flowers
Real Flowers/ Fake Flowers?

I wanna use fake flowers. I have a small budget plus I heard the real 1s will most likely die b4 the end of the nite. Do u know of a nice place 2 get the flowers or if this is a good choice?

I don't know where to get fake flowers, but I wanted to tell you I used them for my wedding. They turned out great! I did have a florist that I used though and she provided the silks for me and arranged them.

I used silk flowers as well and loved them. It depends on if you want someone to do them for you or if you want to DIY - if you want to DIY, places like Hobby Lobby and Michael's are good places to get flowers and the other supplies you'll need to make the bouquets. If you want them premade, there are a lot of online sites. If your budget is really limited, try afloral.com - they have supplies and premade stuff for cheap. I personally used www.wedideas.com for premade because I found they had the most selection by far, and the prices were comparable with similar sites. I paid $250 for all of my flowers.

I contacted wedideas.com after sunshinebride suggested them to me! i was really impressed with the natural touch bouquets they have and i sent in a request for a quote. 310.00 for everything.. including little jewels in all the bouquets and natural touch bouts for the boys and parents. thats almost 200 less then the cheapest florist i have come across.. and i like having the bouquets early so i know i like them and they wont wilt!!

I'm not sure where you can get cheap fake flowers.. I know we considered using fake for ours but found after looking at Michael's that in some cases the fake flowers were more expensive than the real! For hydrangeas they were 19.99 for fake (even with 40% off coupons they're still expensive), 7.00 a stem for real, or free off of bushes of our family friends.  Real roses I know you can get in bulk from Costco for a great price. For calla lilys and other purple flowers, it might be best to go silk.. so take a look at Michael's if you can. For bouquets they still look great. My personal opinion is that for centrepieces they don't look as good because guests are so close and staring at them all night and can touch them and whatnot. You may be better off to do simple centrepieces of candles floating in water, or that type of thing- which are very cost effective and look great!

You can get quality silk flowers from Micheals, but nice silk flowers can also be exspensive. If you DIY your flowers you are taking over the cost of labor for the florist.  Go to the store and price silk flowers to see the diffrence in the price between the two.
