Post Wedding
Beginning of our Lives
Hi girls, I know its been forever since I've been online. We've had tons of changes since the wedding. For one I finally got a real job, no more waitressing for me! haha, I love it, I work at an insurance company and get to work with my mom everyday. I've told my friends that I work with my mom and their first response is "ooo, how can u handle working with your mom everyday?" Haha, well i love it! I love being able to go into work and see her and shes there if I need any questions since i'm still learning the job. Craigs doing good at his job too, getting a lil antsy for summer to come here in Wisconsin. Last weekend it was sunny and 70, this weekend it frickin snowed and was 30. Ugh, the downside of living in the midwest.
As for stuff from after the wedding, well all I can say is that our day turned out perfect!!! We had the best day and everything went according to plan. I have lots more pictures that I want to post to show off how great everything was. The mass was beautiful and after we went to the park for pictures. The only bad thing about the wedding is that we are still waiting for our prints from our photographer, ugh he is so unreliable. He didnt sent us the CDs of the pictures til almost three months after the wedding. Now I'm still trying to get in contact with him so we can get our prints and parent albums, It seems very irresponsible of him, and I am getting soo antsy to get them back. Its so annoying that everytime he says he will call he doesnt, and he doesnt respond to his email ever. I have to keep calling him hoping to catch him so I can talk with him. Its to the point that I either want my pictures NOW or I want money back from the pictures that he isnt printing so I can get it done myself. Booo unreliable photographers. I'm still debating what to do with my wedding dress too, I absolutly love it and I know I obviously will never wear it again. But, I still dont know if I want to get rid of it. I know that if I do want to sell it I should soon while its still in style. Any suggestions with what you girls are doing with ur dresses after the big day? We'll I'm hoping to update more on here now that I have a brand new laptop!! Its my birthday and anniversary gift combined, haha. See u girls later! |

Hey everyone, so its been about two weeks since the wedding. All I have to say is that they whole day went soo perfectly. We sat down the day after and really couldnt come up with anything that went wrong the day of. Just that we were a bit late cause of the hair apts, but it all worked out fine. Even the weather was great, especially that since they day before at the rehearsal it was windier than ever, felt like a tornado was going to happen. But the morning of it was a bit dark when we woke up, but by the time our hair was done and we got to the church the sun was out and it was beautiful out. So hes a couple teaser pics, I'll be posting more throughout the week when I have some free time. Enjoy ladies!!

Wedding Day
Signing off as a single woman
So its finally here!!! I am signing off for the last time at a single woman forever and will come back Mrs. Eilers!!! I cant belive that with all the planning we have done that the day is finally here when it felt like it would never come. I woke up this morning waay before my alarm with butterflies in my stomach and I'm sure I will be doing the same thing tomorrow. Rehearsal went great tonite, priest was a bit late but eventually showed up thank god. Our photographer was there early so that made me feel really at ease, since at our engagement shoot he forgot about it, wasnt feeling the best bout him then. But rehearsal went great and so did the meal. Now were both at our parents houses spending our last nights alone, both of us are going to bed early to read while our wedding party went out, haha. Ya cause were cool like that. But im out for a while, off to Mexico on monday for the honeymoon. Wish me luck that the weather gets better for tomorrow ladies, catch ya on the other side!!

Unique/Different Photo Ideas
Ok, so this post might only get help from some local brides, but other ideas are totally welcome!!
I am trying to think of new/different spots to take our group pictures after the ceremony. I've seen to many photos of people in parks and the same type background. I really would like something different thats not seen all the time. I live in the Appleton area in Wisconsin, if anyone around here has any ideas of somewhere to take sweet pictures please let me know! Even if your not from around here you could give me some ideas of what to look for in a location. I love the pictures of the party in a field, but again I really dont know where. I would really appreciate it, thanks so much girls!! Less than three weeks for me to go!!! |

Wedding Hair Style
Hair Trial/Final Dress Fitting
So I had my hair/makeup trial this past Saturday as well as my final dress fitting after so I could tell how the whole outfit would look together. I really liked the back of my hair, I did tell her that for next time I want it to be a bit more poofy on top, it seemed too flat. I want more of a bump. With the makeup I liked the eyeshadow and foundation, but I definately want darker eyes. She barely put on any eyeliner and want darker mascarra as well. Otherwise that part of the day went really well. My total appointment took two hours, which works out fine the day of, I make sure apts were scheduled with plenty of time to spare. Then we went to the shop to try on my dress. I was sooo happy with my dress, the only alterations I needed were the bustle to be fixed. I lost enough weight so that I didnt need any alterations, how amazing is that!?! I am still in love with my dress, maybe even more now that the days only a month away. I cant wait to wear it for the day, its sooo pretty, lol.

Cake Table Decor/Hair Trial
So were finaly getting down to all the details for the wedding. 5 1/2 weeks to go until the big day and I am getting sooo excited for it to come. I love planning but it will also be a big relief when the day comes and I can go back to living normal without having deadlines and bills stacking up. I went to visit the decorator on Friday and chose some stuff to add to the reception hall because otherwise we figured it would look too plain. We added this tulle for the ceiling that will really add a nice pop to the place. Also tulle and lighting for the head and cake table. I found this sweet picture of what i want the cake table to look like, even bought the letters and paint to do sometime this weekend.
I also have my hair/makeup trial this weekend and going in for my final dress alteration after so i can see how everything looks together. I cant wait for that!! It will be nice to see what it all looks like together after envisioning it for so long. I took some pics off someone elses blog because they were exactly what i wanted. Messy updo with flowers to the side, I hope they turn out like I imagine. |

Ok, so I havnt posted something on here in forever basicly. I have been so busy lately trying to find a full time job, work out, and plan the wedding. But its finally getting down there, under 100 days so im sooo excited for it. Have hit some setbacks/snags tho, of course it would make it all too easy for everything to go perfectly.
Probably the biggest thing right now is issues with my dad about money hes supposed to be giving us. When we first got engaged Dec. 2008 we went to our parents to see whats help they would be giving us for the wedding. My parents are divorced, so i asked them to each give the same as the other and they agreed to $1500 each. Well my mom has given us her part to pay for wedding things, but my dad has yet to give us a single cent. He keeps claiming that he has no money because he has a mortgage and other bills, and had to pay child support for my sister. But now that my sister is 18 she has gone over to dads to live, pretty much believe she was boughten to go over there with bribes of whatever she wants. So now after courts my dad has Olivia and mom has to pay him for child support until she is finished with hig school, she will be a senior this year. So now that he has all this money coming his way, from mom and gets to keep all his money now, ud think he'd be helping us our with the wedding.... Oh no! He still keeps giving stupid excuses of bills or mortgages, he works at a frickin paper mill and makes a ton of money a year, i know i worked there during the summers to pay for school, its gooooood money. Im just getting so frustrated with him I dont know what to do anymore, im just getting so sick of having to ask him for money all the time and getting excuses. Its kinda humiliating. I still want him to walk me down the aisle because hes my dad, but at the rate hes going i really could care less anymore. Any advice from anyone?? Sorry its such a long post but i couldnt keep it in anymore. |

Wedding Dress
Fittings
So I went to the bridal shop with my sister the other day to try on my wedding dress, since the last time i tried it on was last July when i bought it. I was really curious to see how it would fit because when i bought it, it was a little tight but not too bad. Well since the beginning of the year, January, i've been going to the gym like crazy and watching what i've been eating and have actually lost 10 lbs!! So i really want to go see how it fit and if it would need any alterations. We got to the store and my sister slipped the dress on me and tied up the corset back and it fit PERFECTLY!!! I was so frickin happy that it didnt need any alterations at all, excpet the bustle needs to be sewn up a lil, like 20 min worth of work. I am soo happy that it doesnt need anything because i've heard about people having to pay up the butt for alterations, lol. Plus i got to try it on with my shoes, veil, and accessories to see how it all looks. Let me know what yall think.

200 Days Left!!
I cant belive its getting down there. 200 days to go, about 6 months. Time has just flown by since we got engaged December 2008, and back then I thought we had forever until the wedding. Now it feels like its sneeking up everyday getting closer. Good thing we got the majority of our things done, now its just the little details we need to finish up.

Ugh, i think I've finally figured out all my flowers for the wedding. The only think I'm not sure about is are you having all your bouts and corsages match eachother, because my mom wants hers to match her dress and not the colors of the wedding. I dont really care, I just want everything to look together. So are you guys having different colors for everyone or all the same?? I finally picked my bouquet too, its a large fuschia peony bouquet, I love it!!
