Wedding Music And Songs
Almost narrowed it down...
I don't want to walk down the aisle to the same traditional "here comes the bride"...Ideally I want to dance down, but the FH refuses, so that's a battle I'm not going to fight...
But I do want it to be something different. My bridesmaids and special guests are walking down/being seated to string version of Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. I'm thinking I want to walk down to either the string version of Are You Gonna Be my Girl by Jet or the string version of Daughters by John Mayer...but I'm definitely open to more suggestions! We're going to play God Gave me You by Dave Barnes during our sand ceremony And I can't decide what I want to leave the church to. I definitely want something fun and energetic... |

DIY Wedding
DIY like a boss!
My ring bearer pillow and flower girl basket are finally finished and I paid a combine total of 10 dollars for the two of them!
My fabulous grandmother sewed the pillow and helped with the basket making! I also finished my bridesmaid survival kits, as well as, my bridesmaid tote bags yesterday! If only the cupcakes were going to be this easy! |

Tooooo many choices!
I am in LOVE with the flowers in the main picture, except I want to carry the purple and my bridesmaids to carry the green...BUT I also love all the others!

Wedding Dress
Perfection!
I found my dress online, several months prior to getting engaged. After finally getting engaged I knew exactly which dress I wanted to try on first! I went to a local bridal store and told them which one I wanted...and got the worst news ever! My dress had been discontinued. After hearing this terrible news my consultant decided to go check in the back to see if they had a sample of the dress I wanted, and sure enough they did! They had one left and it fit like a GLOVE (it was also conveniently almost 50% off!). So I bought it off the rack for less than 300.00 and no alterations are needed!

Engagement
Basically a fairytale...
My FH and I have been engaged for almost a year and a half. We are high school sweethearts and he is absolutely my best friend in the whole world!
My proposal was absolutely perfect and I had no idea it was coming! Even though we had talked about getting married and engaged for a really long time. I should have seen it coming the day he proposed but I had no clue what-so-ever that it was coming. The entire time we have been together I have always taken lots of pictures of the two of us and wanted more pictures of the two of us. So on Saturday June 12 he asked me to go on a picnic, to our favorite park, and to bring my camera. At the end of our picnic I decided to take some pictures and when I turned the camera around to look at the pictures we had taken I found a wonderful surprise! I don't remember much after that except for lots of hugs, kisses and happy tears! |

We're having our ceremony at the Church we both attend in the town we grew up in. My colors are purple and green, and I'm incorporating a lot of gingham and polka-dots prints into the centerpieces and other parts of the ceremony and reception.
