Grr..Does it bother anyone else when someone says..."It's just one day"??

Well Ladies...definitely going to be trying to post more. Why you ask? It absolutely drives me bananas when you talk about your planning and ideas with people and you get "It's just one day" in return! I just want to reply with " Yes, it's just one day...BUT it's MY DAY!!" I can understand the person trying to put things into perspective...just irritates me. Want to just bask in my excitement and watch my dream day unfold...those people are surely going to be there enjoying it as well! lol..
Thank god for WBC!!

Do you find yourself with these feelings? If so...tell me please how you deal with them :)

I totally understand another thing that bothers me is my bridesmaids who are my family keep joking that i'm brideizilla! It really makes me sad because I have not complained or said anything and have asked them to stop because I seriously think I'm going to become one if they don't stop hahahaha! I know they're just playing with me but we all want OUR day to be perfect don't we :)

@shnoukys Yes! My sisters are my bridesmaids and I occasionally tell them stuff, it's when I talk to my friends and other family members.

I HATE it when people tell me that. It really bugs me. Hey, I plan Christmas activities, I plan the birthday parties, I plan dinners, and I'm planning OUR damn wedding too! My fiance' actually loves picking things out with me and choosing little details that make it OUR day. He actually wanted a big family wedding more than me, and I'm going to make it a fabulous day for him, for me, and for our whole family. I'm having fun. I have never just splurged on buying jewelry, shoes, a beautiful gown, and other accessories for myself, but now I can say I've done it and I'm enjoying it! :)

@divinewillowmama well said! I agree with that completely! I have never really went ALL out on myself, and if anyone at all has made me feel like that's possible, it my FH. He makes me feel like the world is mine for the taking! If only everyone else shared his enthusiasm lol..

Yes, and no. When it comes to money, I'm all "That's crazy to spend that on one day", but when it comes to details that we want a certain way I'm all "But we're only doing this once!". LOL

yes yes yes!!!! especially since im not even spending that much on it! i can understand if i was having a $75k wedding but im not even close to that...I hate when ppl say ur marriage isnt based on ur wedding..uugggggh i know that but it doesnt mean i dont deserve the wedding of my dreams...I want to get a second part time position to help pay for the extras i want and everyone down talks me about it....i just tell them that im a very hard worker, ive worked my ass off to get where i am today, i spent the last 5 years college/nursing school working futime throughout nursing school which is hard so i can pay for my education and  i obstained from having kids, so i think if i want to "waste" 10k on one day its my perogative and its my choice, ive worked so hard in life to have a better life so i think i deserve "one day" where i can spoil myself, i think i owe myself that much.
