Update-What I've accomplished in the last week
I can't believe how busy I have been in the last week, I haven't even had time to post or check out WBC !!
We have gotten soooo much accomplished and I'm feeling really good for only having 7 days left....EEEEKK!!! lol I've attached photos of the following: Our Guest Book, Guest Book Sign, Candy and Candy favour bags, Attendants gifts & Our Thank You Signs for photos. My Bachelorette
Amazing Night.....
.....despite all the drama and crap! lol
I am really glad I decided to go ahead and have my bachelorette party anyways (even tho only one of my bridesmaids could make it ) My MAN of Honour ended up crashing our girls night out and Im soooo glad he did! He is my best friend inthe whole world and he made the night! We went to Tryst nigthclub in Toronto, for all you GTA brides if you haven't already you HAVE to check it out....its such a great bar and the people are so friendly and nice. (Drinks were expensive tho, but I didn't have to pay for any all night so I didn't really care! hahaha) We drank way to much, danced our butts off, met so many nice ppl and stayed up till 4am, it may take me awhile to recover but it was worth it! here are a few pics from our eventful evening :) |

Bachelorette This Weekend!
A little (a lot) dissapointed.....
My bachelorette is this weekend and instead of being super excited, I’m totally bummed out! I’m totally having a Bridezilla moment right now and I need to vent….BADLY…..
All my friends are BRUTAL to plan stuff with, they are all too busy for me and its been so frustrating the last year trying to light a fire under their asses to plan anything for my wedding, therefore I’ve done a lot of the planning myself which is humiliating and ridiculous. I planned a lot of my own shower and now I’m planning the bachelorette too! My one bridesmaid mentioned at my shower (back in APRIL btw) that she wanted to help organize my bachelorette so I was super hopeful that with that much time to plan, it would be great! Boy was I wrong….a month ago I asked her if she even had a date picked out yet and she said no, she was waiting for me to pick one, so whatever, I gave her a few dates that I thought might work. It wasn’t until this week that she really starting planning anything and telling people about it!!!! Which gave people NO notice whatsoever and everyone already had plans that they couldn’t get out of. The only people even coming out of ALL my girlfriends and bridesmaids are myself, 2 out of my 5 bridesmaids and an old friend from highschool who I recently starting hanging out with again after 6 years of not seeing each other. Am I the only one that sees the problem with this??? And to top it all off….my one bridesmaid had to have emergency surgery so she is not even sure if she is going to be fully recovered in time for the wedding!!!! I’m so stressed out and upset that I don’t even want to have a bachelorette anymore….but the 3 ppl that said they would be able to go convinced me that they would make sure that I had a good time so I said ok. So I booked us a room at the Metropolitan in Toronto (cuz I’m the only one with a credit card apparently…so frustrating that I’m booking my own hotel for my own bachelorette!!!) and we are going to this club called Tryst….any of you GTA brides been there before??? I will let you all know how it turns out...lets just hope there is lots of alcohol so I can drown my sorrows at least!! lol |

We FINALLY have our very own house!
for the last 2 years my FH and I have been living with my parents (to try and save some money to pay for the wedding). we are very greatfull that they have let us live there but we needed to get out...badly! lol plus, we didnt want to be married and still live with my parents.
My FH actually bought a house a few years ago before we even met, but it was a fixer upper and needed ALOT of work. He lived there for a year but decided to rent it out til he had the money to fix it up. My FIL's offered to help pay for the renos (My FH and his family own a construction company, so a lot of the labour and materials were either really cheap or free-Bonus!! lol) we all worked our butts of over the last few weeks to get the house ready for Steve and I to move in. I even got the chance to get dirty and tear a few walls down, paint and help with the renos! it was a great experiece and was a great bonding experience for not only my FH and I but for me and my new soon to be family :) We are offically all moved in now and loving it! here are a few pics, before & after :) |

HELP!!! I need to Jazz up my BORING favour bags!
I really am clueless and can't think of anything easy & creative to do with these plain white paper bags for our guest favours;/candy table.
I had sticker logo's made with our photo to stick on each bag, but Its still sooo plain and boring. I bought a damask print stamp to stamp each bag but it looks horrible and is really difficult to do so they all stamp evenly. I need all of you WBC girls to give me some inspiration and help me figure out how to jazz up these little bags....they were a great price and the fit a lot of candy so there were perfect, but they are just so boring and white..lol help !! :) |

what a fun, inexpensive and easy (hopefully lol) idea! and surprising will look really chic haha I'm gonna do a mock up first just to see if I like it and to see just how easy it is...I'll take pics and and let you know how it turns out :) |

Starting to Panic Now
Feeling Sad instead of Estastic :(
with only 44 days to go (eeeek!!!!) I'm starting to get nervous and worried that Im not going to get everything done or I'm going to miss things, or my dress isn't going to fit.....the list goes on! I'm really feeling anxious and overwhelmed. It doesn't help that we are also stressing out about our financial situation. when we first got engaged, my parents offered to pay for our recpection but my dad has sinced lost his job and they are not sure now if they will be able to afford it :(
the only issue is my FH and I were left trying to figure out where this extra few thousand dollars was going to come from so we had to cancel our honeymoon (to Aruba) and ask his parents to help out, which they will but we will have to pay them back (which basically means, no honeymoon even a little bit after the wedding and all the money that we get as wedding gifts will have to go straight to them) I'm so stressed and depressed right now when I should be on top of the world! My FH and I have an amazing relationship, but we are starting to bicker here and there about all these little things that are going on revolving around the wedding, money and my parents. He thinks I am overreaticing about being not getting our dream honeymoon and thinks that I'm just spoiled and used to getting what I want. I really don't think any other bride would not be upset about not getting to go on her once in a lifetime honeymoon with the man of her dreams! am I crazy??? I still have a big list of things to do: 1-Get my FH's wedding band 2-Find 2 more pink frames (or paint the 2 orange ones I have) for table numbers 3-Gather all my RSVP's and get final numbers 4-Book a food tasting 5-Pay balance and finalize flowers 6-Find a make-up Artist 7-Buy Attendants Gifts & Parents Gifts 8-Buy Candy for Candy Bar 9-Assemble Favour Bags for Candy Bar 10-Get our Marriage License 11-Finish and order Video Montage's for reception 12-Meet and pay for Officiant 13-Shop for under garments 14-Find and Book a hotel for the wedding night 15-Figure out decor for the head table 16-Get a Marriage License pen 17-Toasting flutes & cake cutting set 18-Get veil drycleaned I'm sure I'm missing stuff too, anyone else feeling overwhelmed and not know where to start???? |

just thought I'd share! I still have a ways to go but its a great start, I'm feeling great and am super motivated to keep it up! (FINALLY !!!) Jenny Craig is amazing! I know exactly what I'm eating everyday and the food is actually really really good! They have a promo on right now that was "Lose 20lbs for $20" and I basically buy all my groceries there and then I'm good to go! wish me luck. i will keep posting updates of my progress. xo |
