He Finally Proposed!

After waiting for two years, on Fathers Day June 20th 2010 he finally proposed to me! We went out to brunch with his family as we have every year, then I had a little picnic planned for the three of us; Jerry, myself and our beautiful 11 month old baby girl. We had a kabob lunch then he suggested we went for a walk. Now to paint a more clear picture this is at a state park in gold country, ca. Beautiful weather, green grass, leafy trees, and the feather river flowing by.

Our daughter had fallen asleep by the time we had weaved through the park and reached the water. We splashed our feet in the water while we talked then decided to head back, on the way we past a green field with trees randomly placed and lay beneath one. again we talked, but this conversation was about how we met, fell in love, and how he knew when we met that I was the girl he was going to spend the rest of his life with.

I got an inkling that the conversation was heading somewhere big but when he said that we should continue back to the car, I figured that inkling was wrong. I got up to put my flip flops back on, I looked up to find him on one knee! My heart was racing, a rush of emotions hit me as he popped that long awaited question. I said yes of course and began to tear up.
