What to do now?!? Wait I guess!!!
With the wedding pushed back a little I feel like I have not much to plan, since my mind is made up on alot of stuff already! Plus we already got some stuff in our wedding bin (Flutes, Card Box, Bubble wands, Tree Guest Book, Fan invite template, Cootie Catcher seating card/game with menu inside template, My DIY try at a red pomander, plus FH suit) will be posting pics tonight.
I even found our table names, which are cartoons we watched when we where kids the 80's but where created in japan. The only thing I need to do is find an idea for our wedding programs. The hall is already taking care of the decorations even nice center pieces, food, dj even the cake ect... we only meet with her again at the end of the summer, we even have our menu figured out! I even started a seating plan with my guests even though its more then a year away.... Here's what we have to do or buy Sumo Cutouts / Photobooth List of songs (almost complete) Kids activity book ( all the pages are complete, need to print and assemble) Purchase Wedding Favors Our back scratchers Get a nice pen Garter (FMIL is making it) Cake Topper (Already chosen need to order) Cake (Big Fortune Cookie Cake on Top of 2 or 3 layers of white cake wrapped in red fondant.) Wedding Party Clothing ( Boys will have black Ninja Suits girls dress to determine) Order my sons suit and flower girls chineese dresses Figure out which dress I want Get a perforating Cutting tool for rsvps part of invitation Find Enveloppes Paper for invitations, cootie catchers and programs get our rings Figure out transportation (FH wants a freakin HUMMER that he can drive and wont budge grrrrr) Get picture frames at IKEA Bouquets ?!? Get Hair accesoiries depending on dress Plan crazy games ( have a fiew in mind loll) Wedding Party Gifts ( Girls are getting a massage,nails and facials boys to determine Gifts for parents ?!? Meet with our photographer Finish paying venue Re-check guests info Seating changes to be done later I feel except a fiew minor things that I'm way ahead and by the time we hit the one year mark those things will be taken care of and I'll just have to wait it out?!? It's ridicoulus hahaha!!! I probably should'nt be complaining but I'll have nothing to do for 7-8 months and after I'll be super stressed out with all the last minute details WIERD!! |

Wedding Date
Made a necessary change
Our inital date was feb 5h 2011 which was a great date, but being that we are paying for everything ourselves plsu here in canada it's freezing in february we decided to push it back a fiew months.
So we get more breathing room financialy till then and "cross fingers" great weather. We were looking at dates and I started laughing and said well the day after my b-day is a saturday, he started joking and said yeah 2 for 1 presents every year, of course I smacked his silly head and said and OH dear what a great beautiful HUGE present it will be hahaha... We called the church and the venue and they had the date available June 11th 2011...woohooo! So the day after my 30th b-day I will be Mrs.Walsh... now I have to let everyone know and change my monogram! |

Hi Girls Just wanted to share a first raft of a cootie catchet I made
On top (pic 2) you have our monogram our photos and the "guest name" Inside I made simple questions that people would ask them selves when getting to the reception like Which Table and under the flap you would get the answer (note that in the pics the questions are in french) I also put funny ones like what now? answer a drink maybe where are the restrooms? is there any cake? only if your nice hehehe etc.... and under the flap in the center is our menu we havent chosen our menu yet but i'll phrase them like Sumo Soup Karate chop salad etc... Ps: Sorry I'm still in my pyj's on the pic lolll |

Big Dilema
Hey Girls!
Like I previously posted I was pretty sure I wanted Maggie Sottero's Amara Royal in red because it was just so gorgeous, till I saw Maggie Sottero's Ireland.... I'm Sooooo confused! I feel like I have to choose between the good and the evil dress hahahaha! One is bold classy unique, but being a mermaid I'm worried about the way I can move freelee in it The other is angel-like flowy but I'm so clumsy I'm afraid I'll end up with so huge stain because every white clothes I own ends up stained within hours of the purchase I see alot of similarities between the two like the bustier Help me girls :( |

Wedding Reception
We're crazy!
FH and I had a "kids free" afternoon so I put dress shopping aside and had a wonderfull quiet afternoon with my honey :)
We were talking about the reception and our theme which is asian and I showed him some youtube videos I had received from a coworker a while ago from the tv show I survived a japanese game show and we almost peed ourselves! Which made us really want to incorporate crazy stuff like that at our wedding! Sounds crazy I now, but we are complete idiots in real life, so most of our families and friends would'nt be that suprised, Anyways I never wanted the "normal" sit eat dance reception, so we came up with a fiew idea First we are going to have a giant cut out of sumo's with the face cutout for pictures :) we are definataly doing the marshmallow on a fish string with the elastic like here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttrE8ggnFtE also the one were you wear a chicken hat and pop balloons while stting on them ahahaha! of course we won't do anything that involves food or getting really dirty, but I can't stop laughing at what I'm finding over the internet i'll post more ideas when I get them |

Is it just me or no one give a sh...
I call up my MOH today asking her if she wanted to go look at dresses tomorrow with me...
Her reply: Why? Didint you find the one you wanted online! So I told her that even tought I wanted to try similar designs to make sure I don't look wierd in that shape of dress She then replied you don't need too, were going to get in shape and look smoking hot and taffeta is perfectly fine, it's not too form fitting... WTF!!!!! Seriously it making me sad my own MOH and Mother don't give a shit, I called my mom because I was worried I couldnt afford my wedding i did'nt call to ask her money I just wanted to hear that everything would be fine or whatever. Neither of my parents are helping me out, my dad it's understable he just got separated he's 66 years old and still working 2 jobs to make ends meat, and he called me crying one night because he felt horrible he couldnt help me out my mom makes over 100 000$ a year and I had to buy my own freaking prom dress when I was 16. FH and I have been toggether for more then 6 years we have 3 sons, and i'm having something really small, at least my FMIL is helping out because I'm just about to throw the wedding idea out the window. It really sucks because not having any moral support is even worse. So I think I'll just go dress shopping tomorrow alone... |
