Wedding Reception
We finally picked and booked our reception site. It is a beautiful banquet hall/ event centre. It took us months to decide which one we wanted and we looked at soooooo many but we finally decided and we are thrilled with our choice. It goes perfectly with the theme of our day. We are having a cocktail hour and full sit down dinner. This is the menu we have worked out:
Cold Hors d'oeuvres: Enoki Rice Paper Rollups with Sweet Chili Dip Grilled Jumbo Shrimp with Fresh Herbs Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Ribbons with Crème Fraîche Hot Hors d'oeuvres: Roasted Garlic and Brie Phyllo Tartlets Spicy Thai Lamb Meatballs in Butter Lettuce Oriental Chicken Wontons with Orange Zest and Hoisin Sauce First Course: Salad of Organic Baby Greens smoked tomato and sugar cured cucumber, grilled onion and balsamic vinaigrette Second Course: Lime Chipotle Spiced Chicken Suprême with smoked tomato compote, creamed potato with chives & sautéed vegetables A Selection of Rolls and Flatbreads served with sweet butter Third Course: Chocolate Springtime Dark chocolate tulip filled with fresh fruit mousse. We are also having a dessert table and a full deluxe open bar. At midnight we are going to have some food stations open: A wood oven pizza station, A waffle and crepe station and a Seafood station. I've attached some pictures of our reception venue. Enjoy and tell me what you think of our menu and venue |

Wedding Reception
Well I finally got my centerpieces all sorted out. It is really hard to find those ostrich feather centerpieces in Canada but I finally fouind them about 2 weeks ago and decided to just take the plunge and buy them along with the eiffel tower vases and floralytes. I am really excited about them. My decorator will put them together the night before. What do you ladies think?
I have hired a decorator to decorate the cake table, head table, do a backdrop and ceiling swag and to bring in linens, chair covers, napkins and charger plates. |

Wedding Photography
Phew I haven't posted on here in so long but I have been so busy. Between work and a 1 year old running around I have 0 time it seems. But I have made some progress. We have hired our photographer and I am super happy with our choice. We went with our photographers biggest package which is pretty expensive but we wanted to make sure we had the kind of pictures we would love forever.

Flowergirl (my daughter)
My daughter, my flower girl
So our little baby girl who is 10 months old now will be 2 when we get married and she is going to be our flower girl/ little bride and we just want her to be absolutely beautiful on the day. In fact we want her to be the most beautiful person there (can you tell that we love her??? lol). I have been browsing for flower girl dresses but haven't quite found anything that catches my eye. Any suggestions on websites that I could look at to begin the search for a dress for her?
