Photo Booth...a hit or a miss??

How many of you ladies had or are thinking of having a photo booth at your wedding??

I love the idea but am not sure if it is a good investment for the money...I contacted a company that quoted me $ 1,200 dollars and for the price I would get set up and tear down, a professional attendant for the photo booth, 4 hours of usage, 2 CD with all photos that I can later reprint if I want to, custom imprint (our names, wedding date, or whatever we choose), this was not part of my original budget but I think I can pull it off.

What you all think??

We're having a photo booth also.  But our price is $700 for the same stuff.  You should be able to talk them down a bit. Almost every vendor I spoke with said around $650-$700 for everything.

We're having the photo booth as well. Our wedding site vendor provides it to us for an extra fee of $450. This includes prints for our guests and prints for us that will go directly into a guest book that is also included. It was a pretty sweet deal and couldn’t pass it up. I think you should go for it!

i would loooooove to have a photobooth at our wedding but FH called me out on the fact that we don't have an extra grand to spend on it. I'm currently working out ways to do something similar but for much much less.
Option 1: I have a mac laptop with "photobooth", so I'm thinking of setting it up with a printer to take pics at the wedding (but this makes me nervous!)
Options 2: Polaroid cameras with the guestbook. Assign 1 or 2 people to guestbook duty & have them take a pic of the guest, stick it to the guestbook & have the guest sign next to their pic.
Anyways, if you can afford it, go for it - it will be lovely. (i will live vicariously through you!!)
Good luck :)

I honestly just debated this with my FH five minutes ago. I found one to rent for $1000 for 4 hours. Its really pricey but i think its tottaly worth it! how much fun and cool would it be to have. I REALLY want one but he veto'd the photobooth, convincing me i might as well hand him the divorce papers if he sees one there. not that extreme lol...but he is so against it and it drives me crazy. he doesnt see what i see.... Thank you ladies!!  obviously many things to consider....I will see how low I can get it, that can make a big difference in my decision, ya'll  gave me great points to look at - price, options (I do own a Mac, yay!) to explore, etc.   I do want it so I will continue my search for the best deal around and will try to convince my FH since he does not care for it at all ;-(

Thanks again ya'll
