Sorry ladies being MIA for a few weeks but the days leading up to the wedding turned out to be crazy....a few health issues that popped up right before the wedding, but anyways, I am married ;-)...here is the review:
The Good:
The night before rehearsal was a breeze everyone was doing what they supposed to do and our officiant was very helpful
Wedding day was great, I have read on here to soak it all in because it goes by way too fast, believe me IT GOES BY TOOO FAST!!, the weather was great, even though the forecast predicted rain, everything was perfect for our pictures. We were so happy we took pics before the ceremony since we didn't have to rush and it took the edge off our nerves, the photographer was very particular about capturing the first look and I loved her for that.
After pics he left for the ceremony and I took a few more pics of me and the girls, then left for the church and I was truly like in a dream, since I had a some time before the ceremony started we decided to stop by the venue and had a pic of the cake and decor, everything looked awesome!!
Ceremony went on as planned, my pianist song 'You are so beautiful' and everyone cried, it was just magical I had tears coming down the aisle but I was ok when my father gave me away and my FH held my hand, he later told me he was chocking up too when he saw me walking, I guess is something about the church setting because he had seen me like an hour before lol.
The reception was a blast, guests were all mingling and getting pics, decorations were awesome!! I loved how everything turned out. The food was very good, the servers were very effective in getting everyone what they needed and everyone complimented their services. Chocolate fountain and Candy buffet were a huge hit am still getting comments about that. Like I said the day went by too fast so take time to connect with your husband and take it all in.
The Bad:
One of our flower girls froze (my grandbaby) and did not wanted to walk so a friend of mine got her, it was kind of funny actually lol, the aisle runner I worked so hard for the lady that decorated the church thought that we supposed to stand on the monogram and placed it right under us so no one got to see it, even though I specifically told her I measured the aisle for it to fit right in the middle of it, that kind of upset.
The reception was No children and a couple of people chowed up with kids, they were no problem but I one of my friends later told me that she heard comments about ppl saying that how come it was no children for them for them and not for the rest, I have dealt with that since then though. Our DJ was a major disappointment, he did not have the music we asked him to play and to top it all off he forgot the song we gave them for our First Dance!! we were furious but had to make the best of it and dance to another Spanish song I had, it was still beautiful but not what we had planned since half of our guests didn't speak Spanish.
People hit the candy buffet before it was open and waiting for people to have a seat so we can continue with the program delayed things a little bit.
Despite this things we loved our wedding and we got a lot of compliments on how everything turned out, keep planing and all your hard work will pay off, don't sweat the small stuff and remember that there is very little you can do that day so let it be and enjoy - only you know that something is not going accordingly - like people never knew our DJ didn't have our song, or that my runner was not meant to be the way it was, so enjoy the day!
I will share professional pics soon.....some of the ones I posted are not that great but is what I have so far.
** I have a lot of people to thank and give shout outs to am doing another post for it...this was kind of long lol
Can't wait to see more pictures.
congratulations!!
