This is sloangirl77's Pink Wedding!

Well, we have agreed on a date, booked the church, the reception, the honeymoon. Now I get a call last night from our minister... because Paul was previously married the is a ton of red tape. Regardless if they will marry us or not, we are doing it. I have looked at cakes, hair styles... wrote the wording for our DIY wedding invitations, looked up free wedding programs. Looked at writing my own vows.... now the WAIT, oh it has been so long!!!

so date is NOT decided totally, just that we will be waiting until the weather is better. Looked at hair styles today, that was tougher than I thought it would be!!! FH has suggested a Celtic wedding circlet for head piece... still thinking about it...

It is a sobering realization that this wedding is not going to happen in October. My heart is heavy with disappointment and sadness. I have found myself struggling with my faith as well. Both Paul and I have been praying that everything would come though in time since June 2008. It has been a long and tiresome journey. I have been trying to reassure myself that something better is meant to happen.... however, although I am trying to verbally reaffirm the good in this, my heart still doesn't understand. We are not making any future plans at this time, all we know is that someday we will be husband and wife.

69 days away to what I hope to be the best day of my life..... nothing else matters except marrying the man I love. Everything else could not work out, but as long as this man says I DO that will be the best!!! At this point I am still very hesitant on making center pieces and ordering balloons. Both Paul and I want this to happen, but it looks like the "easy button" will not work this time. I should be printing wedding invitations and sending them out next week .

Well looks unless there is a miracle we are going to have to post pone the wedding again. We have everything waiting to go the dresses, the venue, the honeymoon. Even the invitations are here waiting to be printed... please keep us in your prayers that all the paperwork we are waiting get completed VERY soon!!!

Everyone has a friends who does this, or an acquaintance who does that.... We are relying on these kind of people to help us in our wedding journey. For us, it is about our day... not having to worry and fight about costs and contracts. Today I have booked our church and pastor, spoken to our caterer friend and chosen some tool for decorating. We have been planning to be married for awhile so I have been picking up things here and there. Every morning is a day closer to marrying my best friend :)
