I was sooo looking forward to Valentine's Day Weekend. This year our County was calling it a Winter Break. A BREAK from my students I'd take iit however they gave it to us teachers. I wanted to just kick up my feet and rest for four days. Well Sylvester had a few plans of his own, I was told "pack your bags we're going to Columbia, SC." While I wasn't so excited about spending my Valentines in South Carolina I did know one thing I would be able to get A LOT of rest.
Moving on with the story, we arrived to Columbia but to my surprise we were not staying. We were only dropping the boys off to his mother and sister and we were heading to Mytle Beach. I was sooo excited I was not only going to get some rest but next to tranquil waters. My Valentine's weekend was looking very promising. We finally arrived at our final destination Carribean Resorts and Villas checked and headed to room 1525. The suite was beautiful, as I did a walk through Sly smirks and says "Happy Valentine's Day" but I was distracted by the breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean outside my balcony. The jellyfish looked so pretty in the night as the drifted off into the depths of the water. I was so into the ocean that I almost forgot I was hungry. We as most people tourist in Myrtle Beach do we opted for one of the hundreds of all you can eat seafood buffets which ended our night. Valentines Day had come and I was so excited to get out and explore. I took a look out at the ocean view so see a gentle man drawing "Will you marry me, Amy" in the sand, I called Sylvester over so that he could see he laughed and said "How Lame! oh well lets get started on our day what you want to do" How lame, was he serious that was so beautiful and I have tears in my eyes. He handed me a Teddy bear and said "Here, cheer up this is from the boys" This had to be the smallest teddy bear I had ever laid my eyes on. Needless to say we started our day We, walked the strip, tried on silly sunglasses, Explored Ripley's Believe It or Not, made it through the Mirror Maze, played in the arcade played in the sand and finally sat down to have a bite to eat. By then we both needed a nap. The deal was we would take a short nap and then prepare for dinner. I must say I did get some well needed rest because I slept for five hours. I was awakend by Sylvester walking through the door but too tired to get up I just lay there. He gets on the floor next to my bed puts an evelope on my pillow with my back turned to him I begin to read the card. It reads 'If I've got to be this LOVESICK....I'm glad you're the prescription along with a personal message that states his love for me and how he is such a better man and how he is the happiest man on the planet....I play it off and say "How Lame" and put my head down on my pillow, he ask did I read the whole card and I say yeah he the flips the card over and on the back it says "Will you marry me1?! I finally turn around and there he is on bended knee with my ring, I was speechless.
