In honor of FH's brother that had unexpectedly passed a few years ago we decided to get a memory candle similar to the one pictured. We're going to have the candle lit with a pic and a boutonniere at the alter, then move it into the reception area. The glass cylinder came out so beautiful it brought tears to me and FH's eyes when we saw it. It reads:
In Loving Memory of
Barry "BD" Lastname
So Special, So Loved,
So Missed
Just wondering what others are doing in honor of their loved ones. Does anyone think this is too sad to do?
my best friend passed away of leukemia and she would have been my made of honor. to honor her that day my bridesmaids and I are all carrying pink roses. her middle name was rose and that was her favourite flower. i figure that is a way to keep her by my side all day long. i am also having a pendant of hers stitched into the inside of my dress closest to my heart, where her memories live on. my FH is wearing a pink rose boutonniere as my best friend was his cousin. we are also making a donation in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
It will have pictures of our grandparents that have passed with a bud vase next to each picture with a white rose in it.
