Great Find!!!!
So today while I was at Target looking for some cheap picture frames for my house I found a personalized signature frame in the clearance isle!!! It was on sale for $9.98!!!!!!!! How can you beat that? It was originally $19.98! That is an AWESOME deal! I don't know if they are on clearance just at that certain Target or ALL Targets but ladies you better go get yourself one!!!!!

when to start planning?
I'm getting married Aug. 2011 but I am just wondering when I should put deposits down on the reception place, church, and my photographer?? My FH and I decided that when we have exactly $5,000 (our budget for the reception) that is when we will start looking at venues and put deposits down but that will be in about 2-3 months which will be 1 year and 5 months before our wedding....
I dont want to do anything TOO early but at the same time if we have the money its better to be safe then sorry right?? What do you ladies think?? when is the RIGHT time |

The Proposal

My fiance and I met in the summer of 2007 through my cousin. At first we were just good friends...i would call him and hang out with him ...we even slept in the same bed sometimes...just as friends. I had gotten out of a bad relationship a few months before meeting Zach and i didnt want anything serious at ALL.
Well...I also worked with Zach so we were around eachother a lot and i had heard him talking about him liking a girl..and we also worked with that girl and i got verry jealous and emotional. I knew that if he was JUST my friend then i wouldnt be feeling that way. One day we went to the mall and i studied him reallllll hard because i told myself that if i was going to give someone else a chance..then i wasnt going to just start dating ANYONE...He ended up being the best thing that has EVER happend to me. We dated my whole senior year...when i graduated i moved in with him (something i told myself i never would do ) then a year after graduating...we moved into our own apartment...and then July 8, 2009 we got engaged!!! After getting engaged we originally planned on getting married July 10, 2010 but my parents were VERY upset because they wanted us to be graduated before getting married...so we sat down and came to a conclusion that saving money would be a better thing to do and decided to get married on August 20, 2011. We will be graduated then and will have enough money to pay for the wedding ourselves!! November '09 we moved back in with his parents ( we lived with them before our apartment) and save money for our wedding ..we will also both be in school while planning our wedding so moving in with his parents and living rent-free is the best choice we made!!! |

guest list
I just accomplished my first wedding duty :: the guest list!
It came to a total of 75 guests!! I am so happy with that because that is less invitations I have to order! haha ..it gets pricey! Since my wedding is still far away ..the list will probably grow a little more and it will also shorten too...so in the end it will all even out! :) Now i have to send out e-mails and call people for addresses! Are any other brides planning early?! i LOVE IT...i feel no stress at all :) |

videographer?
I really want to have a video of my wedding but I am having so much trouble finding a CHEAP videographer?! I haven't talked to anyone in my family about them possibly recording our wedding...but I would rather find someone I dont know to film it ...for CHEAP ..under $500 would be nice, but i am finding no luck.
What are you ladies doing about videography?!?!?! |

ideas changing!!
Since my wedding is in 2011...i haven't put a deposit down on any venue or done anything major...so my ideas keep changing. I first told myself that I was going to do my own flowers, make my own invitations and save the dates, get a cheap photographer...and basically do it ALL MYSELF.
Things have changed!!!! I have realized that this is my wedding and I want to enjoy the planning process as much as I can. I know it will be a little more expensive but I am not going to stress myself. So I am going to give my trust to a florist, get a photographer I WANT, and buy invitations pretty much already made. Dont get me wrong, I will be making some things myself ...but for the majority I am not overloading myself with DIY projects everyday/weekend. I will be in my hardest part of my dental program when I am planning my wedding and I am NOT adding extra stress! GO ME =) I posted some pics of my venue (hopefully) and some wedding ideas! Is anyone else deciding to leave some things in the hands of others??!?! |

DIY Wedding
My FIRST DIY projects!
First off i just want to start out by saying THANK YOU to all the ladies that post their DIY projects...i have had so much inspiration from all of yall! I cant help but want to do some of the same projects!
*The first picture is allll of the stuff i bought today ..YIKES! *second pic is DAMASK stuff (i'm officially addicted) *third is a cute little notebook that i got at target for $1 !!!! *4th is damask ribbon for $1 @ Hobby Lobby *5th is fuchsia ribbon that was actually $2.97 @ hobby lobby...not the best deal ..and im not sure why i got it. but it worked for my pomanders! *6th pic is my finished flower vase that i got at the dollar tree. *7th & 8th pic are these pink baskets i got at the dollar tree...mrs.futurewilson put stickers on here...i thought it was a cute idea!! *9th pic --my flower centerpiece!! *10th pic is the start of my pomander...flowers @ walmart..green ball at hobby lobby. I still haven't figured out why those stirofoam balls are like $3-4??? *11th pic is my finished pomander...i think im going to get little crystals and stick them in some places to add some pizazz! :) *12th pic is my centerpiece!! minus some jewels around the table and the disposible camera's for the guests. *13th pic..another close up. |

Ok ..i think i can finally say that i am GOING WEDDING CRAZY! It seems all i do is think about our wedding :) This website has just inspired me with so many new ideas!
I have decided a couple of things::: -I want a buffet at the reception for the dinner. ** i will want a vegetable tray, fruit tray, cheese tray and then maybe some chicken and a few sides. nothing too fancy and i dont want a lot of choices. ** -For beverages I want Sweet tea, water, and pink lemonade. **there will be some coke and sprite at the bar for other drinks ** -I want an open bar for my guests ** I only want Absolute vodka, crown royal, and 1 type of beer - bud light. ** -I want a candy buffet at one table **Most of the candy will be the kind that are already packaged so that i dont have to worry about it going old.** -Then the other favors for the guests will be customized coasters.
