Another deal that I just thought of!!

So for those of you who read and commented on my previous post about what to do with these branches, paint white or leave natural....... I have another idea. I was in a store today, (Creative Bag Company) and they had the most amazing, beautiful tree that I've ever seen!!!!!!!
It stood about 7 feet tall and was so full. It was painted silver and had silver glitter all over it. I totally fell in love with it. We inquired about the price and it was $300.00. Believe me when I say the wheels in my head were turning trying to figure out if we could swing it or not. I think my FH was going to kill me though.
Anyway, so the point of this post is two things..........

1. What do you think if I paint these SILVER with glitter?? God, I couldn't decide between white or natural, how am I going to decide now??

and

2. I was browsing through other winter wedding brides and realized how expensive branches can be. I never even thought to mention in my previous post about these that I got them from Dollarama for $2.00 a bundle. This picture is one full bundle plus an extra 2 branches. I think each bundle has 8 or 9 branches in it!!!!!!

Sorry ladies that I never thought of this before because it is such a steal.

Sounds great!! It might be a lot of work to paint and glitter the branches, but it would be so pretty. Good Luck! And what a steal of a deal on the branches...where is Dollarama!?

LOVE the glitter idea. It might take a lot of spray paint but would look stunning at a winter wedding. I am a winter bride too - I'm going to check out Dollarama this afternoon! LOL!

@kkbride.... Dollarama's are all over Ontario. I think it's very similar to Dollar tree in the states. They have $1, $1.25, $1.50 and $2.00 items

Yeah... I agree with both of you, It'll be alot of work and alot of paint. The other trees I'm doing for the reception are painted white with glitter and it's very time consuming. I don't know though, Im just crazy enough to attempt it.

I'm doing something like this for my wedding. I have silver spray paint that has glitter in it already, so I'm going to use that. I'm going to put the branches in a clear cylinder container and put silver and blue glittery and non glittery Chirstmas ornament balls in the container. Oh.. I have a picture somewhere, I'll try to find it...

Here it is..

That is exactly what I am doing but instead of curly willow branches which are expensive I ordered salix branches they are identical from saveoncrafts.com, I sprayed them silver put glitter and crushed glass on the ends for the snow effect! Love them I will b placing them on da side of the pews.

@tiffbride10.... that sounds so beautiful. That's pretty much what I'm thinking too. We're only doing 8 of these, 4 on either side of the aisle. Did you take pics of them yet? How did they turn out?
