Wedding Music And Songs
What music will be played during dinner?

As I mentioned in my last post, the past few weeks have really gotten away from me. I have totally lost track of time (probably because things here are so hectic with moving and all)
I rec'd an email from a lady that I hired to play piano music at the wedding reception during the cocktail hour and through dinner. Would you believe that I almost FORGOT that I hired her? Yikes!
Anyhow, I forgot how much I am looking forward to her playing for us.
Our DJ is actually a friend who is a professional DJ so it'll be nice that he'll be able to enjoy dinner with us.

Have any of you fellow WBC brides done this? If so, what kind of music did you request?

Any suggestions?

It is funny that you forgot that you hired the piano lady. I laughed at that!
I am sure that she herself will suggest a few good tunes that will help the conversation flow (and digestion as well), so nothing from Wagner I guess :) I love the piano music (and my fav movie is actually The Piano, and the soundtrack is wonderful, but not weddingy). You could ask if she plays Andrew Lloyd Webber, some tunes from his musicals, that everyone knows and likes.

Great minds think alike! We too are going to hire some sort of alternative music (piano, violinist) to play during the receiving line and cocktails.

I would say go with easy listening music .. michael buble kind of stuff.. Everyone always loves that ..
