Hair and Makeup Trial
Love Love Love !!
Ok, so I had my hair and makeup trials the other day. I went in for my hair trial with a photo of what I liked and decided it just didnt suit me, so we worked together and created a masterpiece!! I love it! My hair dresser is Stacey from Hair by Natalie in Rutherford, NSW.
I then went to my makeup trial, also with a photo but basically all I wanted was for my eyes to stand out. I have dark circles under my eyes which are actually veins so I needed something which would make them less noticeable! My makeup artist is Danni from Splendor in Rutherford, NSW. I was super hppy with the outcome of the day. What does everyone think?? -Soph xx |

I did them myself!
These were quite easy to make ( I did use a template )
I downloaded the template off http://ruffledblog.com/freebie-fridays-cootie-catcher-menu-template/ The template was slightly not square but the guide was so I re did the lines and used my own fonts. I used the photoshop version of the template but you can download a powerpoint slide one. I took out the lines in the middle after it was all typed up so it had a bit more classy type look about it and drew a box around the outside so i didnt have to pencil it in everytime to cut it out. I picked a few nice fonts and used the wording I was going to use in my wedding programs. My celebrant is making the programs for us now but I still wanted something for guests to keep that matched the invites, etc. They have bridesmaids, groomsmen, thankyous and in remembrance as the options and open out to the names, a nicely worded thankyou and a sweet remembrance. After my wedding I might make these for etsy! |

Wedding Favors
The Candy Buffet
I've finally got all the jars and most of the lollies have been ordered now. Ordered my pink and whitel lollipos, watermelon rock candy, conversation hearts from Goody Goody Gum Drops yesterday and bought the fairy floss and candy necklaces off ebay as well a few days back. Only thing left is my cocolate hearts but they will be next pay day =)
I laid it all out yesterday on my dining table to see the layout and make any nacessary changes. I think its going to look absolutely amazing when it's done!! The quality of the pic isnt great bacause it was taken on my phone but u can get the gist of what its supposed to look like. |

Wedding Music And Songs
WOW - I've picked them!!
I can't believe I've finally picked the wedding music.
Once my FH gets home from work, he will probably hate them but I am so over stressing about them!! All are instrumental. We're having a garden wedding so I needed kinda springy type stuff that was still sophisticated. My Wedding Nightmare
Eeek!
I woke up the other morning and knew I had a nightmare about my wedding day.
It was spurred on because we had people unexpectedly inviting their partners and its thrown our table layout off. The dream was as such: -I was late, very late. Mum took me to the wedding in an old beaten up car with a horse float on the back. -The venue was a combination between my actual venue, my dad's place which is 100 acres (40 hectares) and this place my fiancee and I will be renting next week where you drive past some vineyards and things to get to the property. -When I arrived, there was about 300 people and they were seated in a grandstand type thing looking down on the altar. I had to walk down stairs in the aisle between the seats to get to my seat. I was soooo late and everyone was just staring in anger. -I hurried myself down the aisle and missed the start of my ceremony. We're doing a sand ceremony and things were so rushed that we just chucked the sand in the vases and it looked like crap. -Then the ceremony ended and I tried to do my first dance but I didnt have lessons so things went verrrry badly. Then I woke up sometime after that!! Has anyone else had dreams'nightmares abut their wedding?? |

The Candy Buffet
It's coming along nicely!
Today I finished my labels for the candy buffet. I have somewhat more jars than I had when I began (More candy!!!) but I think it's going to look nice in the end.
The theme is mainly pastel pink and white, but I do have assorted pastel coloured jelly beans and m&m's which I found on ebay from the USA. My candy: Fairy floss sugared almonds vanilla taffy conversatin hearts musk sticks marshmallows watermelon rock candy pink and white heart shaped lollipops pastel jelly beans candy necklaces teeth lollies (their sign says "Smiles") Meringues pastel M&M's foil covered chocolate hearts. It took me FOREVER to decide!! I have 14 different jars in total. I also have 2 thin white coloured wired hurricane vases with candles to sit on either side and a sign to sit at the front with a cute poem about the candy buffet. Just gotta sort out what I'm putting the bags in.. a vase I guess??! |

Table Numbers
Ok, so I'm totally addiced to Etsy right now. But living in Australia and having most suppliers in America makes postage kinda expensive.
I found an Etsy trend of blackboards (not sure how popular it is in the wedding world) but I loved them! I got a quote but they were kinda dear and when I went to the shops in my home town, they had a pack of 2 5x7 frames in white for $5!! That's only $2.50 a frame! I was going to be paying about $10 a frame if I got them off Etsy plus postage. I bought blackboard pint from the UK for less than $10 and painted the backing of the frames with that and made my own little blackboards! They look awesome! I'm using 7 for the table numbers and if I can fit my candy buffet "Invitation" into the 8th one, it'll be sitting in the front of the candy buffet. If it doesnt work I'm just going to type it up and print it off like a photo but either way it's going to be cute =) |

Bridesmaids Dresses

I ordered the bridesmaids dresses today. Had my final bridesmaid try on her dress and it looked amazing. The colour they tried on is as per the photo (dark purple) but the colour will be like the the longer dress.
The colour is called "rose petal" and the designer is Mori Lee. It has a detachable flowered strap which looks amazing. I think it makes the dress actually =) Also booked is my pre-wedding night accommodation at the Mercure at Maitland!! It JUST turned into a Mercure and they had great rates. We booked a family room and a standard room and got the family room for 2 nights so we could have the later check out to be able to use it to get ready =) |

For once, something I have bought matches something else I bought! The ties match PERFECTLY to the colour of the ribbons to go under the bouquets.
