Bridal Shower Invitations!
Yes yes ladies i did it! I finally sat down to make my own invitation for the bridal shower/kitchen party i'm having here in the UK. And for those that don't know i'm getting married in Zambia and i will have another bridal shower/kitchen party there. But for now my focus is on this one here in October.
My colors are Red, Orange and Brown as you can see from the Invitations. I'm so excited. WHAT DO YOU THINK? My next project is shoes. I cant seem to find the right heel so i will customize my shoe with the right heel. Any ideas ladies? HAPPY PLANNING! |

Bridesmaid Dresses
Hi fellow BRB. Hope you are great. I'm great. If i don't post it simply means i'm so busy i barely have time to breath lol.
I ordered 5 bridesmaid dresses i'm actually supposed to have about 8 bridesmaids but some haven't paid for their dresses or been in touch so i have decided not to stress myself and focus on those that are serious. I want to enjoy this transition and not add stress to my life. I have attached pictures of both dresses. I decided that maxi dresses are the best to compliment my morning Mori Lee dress and short ones for the girls to comfortably dance in. I'm happy with my choice. I'm just waiting for them to be delivered. 121 DAYS TO THE WEDDING!!!!!!!!!! I am a HAPPY BRIDE! |

Venue Verdict
Okay so i told you guys how the drama was unfolding concerning the venue and the dates? Well we finally sat down and talk and decided that TAJ Pamodzi hotel was the best option. Especially that it was the only one available for Saturday 1st December. I'm happy actually. I have managed to forget about the complex and fall in love with the idea of decorating the venue and making it amazing.
In other news i'm still waiting for my dresses i'm so anxious excited (if that makes sense). I found a shoe and it was all glitter but it's too high. My Fhubby is not very tall lol so i don't have the luxury of wearing very high shoes. I actually want a nice blue shoes with bling. If you know where i can get it......drop me the website i check it out. Let me make another post about bridesmaids drama and dresses. How are you plans going ladies? Mine so far so good. Im going to see my boo in about 35 days. I cant wait for all those warms hugs. hmmmm....lol. |

Venue Issues
I decided that i will have the government complex but then all the Saturdays in December where taken that left me with Fridays. And i was okay with it but my family totally refused. And because they are helping me to pay it doesn't give me much choice. I was so upset i even stopped talking to my mum for a day lol. I really wanted the government complex but now i have to look for something new.
Personally the only way i will have a new venue is if it's either intercontinental Hotel or TAJ Pamodzi hotel. The rest of the venues just don't do it for me. Only one of these will do. And because they made me give up my dream venue they have to foot the bill. I have been very stressed you guys. The wedding is on the 1st off December and i'm still having trouble finding a venue. I know that something good will come out of this i just have to keep believing but i cant help worry. Because i want everything to be perfect. Apparently Fhubby has gone to check the two venues so im going to wait and see what he says. Planning this wedding from here has been so difficult. Can you believe that i am now a size 8 from a size 12. This isn't good. How are your plans ladies? |

The Church Decor
So i have been very busy. Very very busy. First of all i have finally finished law school yeeepeee! God is great. He is awesome. Now i can happily plan the biggest day of my life!
Okay back to the main thing...................i have been busy looking for ideas and all that. I know the church i want to get married in. Now i just have to ask Fhubby to book it lol. But apparently the church is not as bright so i had the idea of having chair covers on all the chairs of the church. Thats why i dont want to use the cathedral (as Fhubby suggested) it will be hard to decorate it and i want a bright and happy ceremony. My colors are blue so the actual church decor will have white chair covers with blue ribbons and blue flowers. I was told by one of my potential decorator that they might not be able to find blue flowers for me so i should consider dying the flowers blue? Because i want roses. What do you think about dying the flowers blue? I have also included a photo of the church as taken by my friend Chrissty! (stole your pic girl) What do you guys think? How are your plans going? |

Wedding Dress
Which one should I go for? HELP!
Ok i know i have been quiet but i have been doing some work. And you wont believe my exam timetable is out so i wont be appearing here as much as i would like. Final year of Law School is not easy but i am determined to finish strong.
I shared with you guys how i want a princess dress for the ceremony right? So here are the options i have. Check out the pics and please let me know which one do you think it's the best. I must confess i love the Oleg Cassini dress with the Satin Bodice. I saw it on David's Bridal but they are only doing it in Ivory and i need it in white. All my dresses have to be white. Where can i get this dress in white ladies please help me. I am a size 10 UK size which is 8 US size i think. If you know where i can get this dress let me know. I have two appointments to try on dresses this Saturday and i'm going with my mummy. I'm so excited. Taking a break from the books to plan the wedding and make some decisions. How are your plans going? |

Wedding Dress Decisions! Decisions!
Okay i know i have been quiet since my last post but i have been working on a few things my darling fellow brides! I have been going wedding dress shopping and looking. And to be honest i havent found anything spectacular. However i have decided on my evening dress. It's the 1808 style by Mori Lee and my Dad agreed to order it next month yeeepppeee but apparently it takes six months im praying for patience ladies patience. I cant wait to get it. I am wearing two dresses. So now i have a task of looking for a church dress. I want a princess dress and so far i haven't found anything. Of course I don't want to spend too much but i want to look like a princess so ladies if you have reliable links or contacts you can give me i will really appreciate it. I have seen a dress by David's Bridal but i'm still thinking about it. What do you think?

Long Distance
I miss him SO MUCH!
Today i feel a bit overwhelmed. Fhubby and I are in a long distance relationship. I live in the UK he lives in Zambia. I'm in my final year of Law School. I just came back from seeing him on the 16th of January but i miss him so much. My heart is breaking. He is my best friend in the whole world. When i visit him we do everything together, even going with him to get his hair cut. We enjoy spending time together and chatting. But at the moment i miss that, normally i'm strong but i just feel overwhelmed by how much i miss him. And it just makes me feel like this process is taking forever. We wanted to get married in September but my parents said no and suggested we move it to December. This means i only get to see him over the summer when im done with Law School. And the worst part is i'm two months away from exams so i have to study a lot and i'm not able to talk to him as much as i normally do and it just makes me so sad. Plus i have to work as well over the weekends so i'm tired most of the time. I don't know how to cope with all this. Plus being Zambian the process of getting married needs double the work and planning to get it done. Lord help me please encourage my spirit so that i don't grow weary.

The Proposal!
Okay so this is my very first entry but then again the earlier the better lol! I got engaged on the 12th of January. It was a huge surprise. I mean i knew that some day somehow he would ask em to marry him i just didnt know it would be on this day. I had been asking (more like begging and pleading lol) for him to take me for a photo shoot just for fun. So he tried to make an appointment with a photographer but he found out that she had closed down her studio. Of course i was very sad and very discouraged. I didn't even think he would pursue it any further because i was content that he made an effort the first time. But to my surprise, on the 9th of January i left town to go and visit my grandmother and i came back on the 11th which was a Wednesday. But while i was away he called me and told me he had booked an appointment for us for a photo shoot with a different studio on Thursday the 12th of January. I was excited and falling deeper in love with him because he was doing everything he could to make me happy lol. So that morning i got ready and packed all my nice clothes ready for the photo shoot. After our first take he suggest we change outfits into something more formal. Him and the photographer left the room for me to change but i didn't know that he told everyone at the studio that he was going to propose. So yes the camera man knew it already. When i finished changing they cam back in together. While taking the photos the camera man suggested we face each and look into each others eyes so i eagerly turned and so did my man. But instead of coming closer he started pulling away and i asked him to come closer but then he he held both my hands and kept pulling away. The he ask me how long have been dating? I answered you know how long! And he asked again, just tell me how long and i answered 2yrs. I noticed his eyes very becoming very moist and red lol next i knew he was getting down on one knee. The camera man was taking photos throughout the whole thing. After he knelt i didn't really hear anything he said until he said will you marry me lol because i was in shock! He had to say it 3 times with a please say something at the end before i responded with a YES YES YES!!!!! It was so romantic and i was totally taken by surprise. He put so much thought into it and i really appreciated it. And that's what brings me here. I'm all set and ready to start planning the first day of the rest of my life! I feel like i'm on top of the world!!!!!
