Dresses, Dresses, & More Dresses!!
OK. So I've tried on dresses for the 3rd time. I can not get my mind off of The Maggie Sottero "Sa Belle" aka "Baby Girl". I Freakin LOVE, LOVE, LOVE <3 this dress. There are a few others that I like. But I love this one. But I just can not see spending $1500 on a dress to wear for a few hours. Plus my wedding will be August/Sept. and it's still hot here in the south. And this dress makes me sweat just trying it on. And it's heavy. And it's really poufy and it would be hard to sit down in it. And I wouldn't want to change if I spent that much money on a dress. I am trying hard to talk myself out of this dress. There is another dress my MS called "Dallas Marie" but I've yet to find anyone around here that has it or can order it just for me to try on without buying it. And I'm def. not buying a dress I haven't tried on. And is it too soon to buy a dress? I still have 16 months. What if I find something else that I like more? Has anyone had this happen? It seems like everything depends on the dress. The dress sets the mood in my opinion. Ugh! And I heard that MS dresses were going up in price in Oct? Is this true? I keep hoping that "Baby Girl" will go on sale soon. That would be sweet. A girl can dream can't she?

Fluer Di Lis Votive Candles

I was browsing around, looking for some blinged out chandliers, and I found this site! I haven't looked through the whole site yet, but the prices are not that bad! The candlebra I have pictured is less than $17, which is a lot cheaper than anything I've found elsewhere. Anywho. Just thought I'd share.

Fake Vs. Real
Ok. So flowers are a big deal to me. I want simple arrangements, therefore I plan on doing them myself. I've been looking into ordering real flowers but I am terrified of getting crappy flowers. If I were purchase fake flowers, I would be able to make the arrangements in advance. The bouquets will be made by a florists, it just the table arrangements and decorations that I want to do myself. Any ideas or tips from all you diy brides? It would be greatly appreciated!!

Wedding Dress
What a Surprise!!
So I've just started with the wedding planning and I've been so indecisive about colors and theme and such things. But I was pretty sure about the style of dress that I wanted. I did not want strapless. I did not want a long train. I did not want a lot of fuss or poof. I wanted something simple, yet still beautiful.
So. My mom and I go today for me to try on some dresses since she wasn't with me the first time. I went to this bridal salon in particular because they carried the Makaella line. I picked out several dresses, and just for fun, picked out the biggest, poofiest dress I found. And absolutely freaking loved it!!!! I was crying, my mom was crying, and some of the sales ladies said they were gonna cry if I didn't stop! I HAVE to HAVE this dress!!! It is waaay out of the price range of what I wanted to pay. But it doesn't matter now! I will come up with a way for this dress! On the way home I was thinking about the dress, and everything just came into place. My colors (a plumish-purple and orchid |
