I stumbled upon an article a few months ago providing tips for beautiful skin for your BIG day. It was a long list and I wished I could find the article. I did remember a few of them and wanted to share what I have been doing over the past few months.
I started this back in February so I actually think it works! My skin has been so much more clearer (no acne or breakouts) and I keep having people tell me "you're glowing"...then the next question is, "are you pregnant?" I then, say "Gee, thanks. No, I am not pregnant. Can't you see I've lost weight, not gained!" LOL...anyways, below are a few tips. I printed this and posted this in my bathroom as a daily reminder.
As each day is a new day! If you screw up today, Get back up again and start all over tomorrow!!!
1- Drink plenty of water. An obvioue one- I know! But, it is sooo true. This helps you anyways with your weight lose goals. I am not downing 8 bottles of water a day! Water helps to remove toxins from your body and keeps you hydrated. Also, helps keep you alert and therefore, less fatique so you don't have big bags under your eyes.
2- An at home skin care regiment is highly recommended. Let's face it sweeties. Facials are nice to do every blue moon. I do it too maybe like every 6mths, but we cant wait that long to do something about. I started using Biore products and noticed a huge difference after the first month. I highly recommend this! Also, along with this, I use a daily moisturizer and SPF by Ambi. Love this too!!!
3-If you have dark spots and acne scars, start treating those bad boys now! I know make-up can cover all, but I'm not just talking about your wedding day alone. I wanted to get rid of blemishes period because I only wear makeup for special occassions. The other days, I'm all naturale and want to get rid of those. I use Coco Butter on those spots daily-twice a day! I have seen results after 3 mths of usage. Highly recommend this one!
4- Get plenty of rest!
5-Get your eyebrows done regularly. Be sure brows are kept full and nicely arched. A beautiful face always starts with great brows :)
6- Let's not forget ladies. The saying is true "You are what you eat!" The skin reflects what you are eating and drinking. Keep that in mind! Salmon, tuna, nuts and seeds creates a huge benefit, improving the condition of hair and skin studies have shown. I started eating more salmon..not a huge fan of tuna. But, I think this has helped too with my weight loss as well.
Those are the few tips I have kept up (abbreviated of couse) and remind myself of daily. This regiment has worked for me and I will continue to do it!
Hope this helps someone out there!!!
