Hey ladies,
I made these flower pin/brooches for my 3 hostesses. I wanted to originally buy this from an etsy seller but decided to make it myself when I realized all the suppies would keep me under $4 for each girl.
I wanted my hostesses to feel apart of the whole party. Making the pins, brings everything all together.
I bought one stem of flowers from Micheals and JoAnns sells the beads and jems. I used my handy dandy glue gun (I know I should have probably sewed it instead, but lol..I dont know how. The glue gun seemed easier.)
The attached shows what they look like thus far. I need your help. Does this look cheesy??? Be brutally honest so I can scale it down or make it look better. I bought the pins for the back so the girls can wear in the top corner of their dress. Their dress is a goldish/champagne color (very soft gold).
Thank u all!!!
@ missde, I notice, when I travel for work, this site kind of tracks the nearest city/state u are in and that shows up when u post. When u originally set up your account, I'm assuming u use the correct city/state.
@futuremrsogan. thats not a stupid question at all. Having a hostess (or hostesses) is definitely an option if u have alot of girls u want to put in your wedding (but not quite make bridesmaids). They can serve as many things. Since I have 3, one girl will greet people as they entry and direct them to the ceremony seating area (since my ceremony/reception is at the same location). One girl, will already be standing outside by the lake, directing the guests where to sit (brides side/grooms side) etc. The third girl will just walk around to assist guest as needed (show them where to place gifts, remind them to sign the guestbook, etc. random things). These girls will be put to work mainly during the ceremony. Wont need them much for the reception. They understand their duties and are actually honored just to be apart of making our day special. Thats just a summary of what we are doing.
