Hello Ladies, As i am planning for our wedding in 2012, i really want to move up the ceremony to this october 2011 and still have the recpetion and re new our vows on the original date that we picked 10/13/2012. we are having out wedding SO EARLY on 10/13/12, and i thought about having the church ceremony this october, very small and intimate and than just re new our vows next ocobter , with my dress and the hole sha-bang. I asked my FH last night and he straight out said no. has anyone been in this situation? what did you say to convince him to move it up? HELP!!

Is there a reason you want to move the wedding up? I think if you get married this year and then renew the vows next year it kind of takes away from the excitement of getting married in my opinion. If you have a legitimate reason for wanting to move it up though explain this to your FH...

I was wondering the same as Laurie. I agree with her as well. I know you're anxious to get married but enjoy this time you have planning and preparing, and then you're day can be everything you imagined it to be. Your FH probably just wants you to have the full marriage ceremony celebration experience.

honestly, there isnt a reason. my mother and grandparents have offered to pay for the wedding if we move it to this year. they are not sick, there just old. lol. i do want it to be speacial . thanks girls

Oh ok, well I can definitely understand that your grandparents want to be able to see you get married. That's a really good blessing if they are willing to pay for it. Did your FH say why he didn't want to move it up?

your grandparents wont let ypu use the money when you need it. Talk to them and see if they will compromise and not the FH.

We moved our wedding from November 2011 to June 2011 in january so we only gave ourselves 5 ish months to plan. End of the day we had an amazing time and I wouldn't change a thing!! Why not do the whole sha bang this year??
