Here are some more pics of the potential ceremony and reception location. The place is O'Keefe Ranch right outside of Vernon, BC. It is cute, fun, and really unique plus it gives us some great outdoor and semi-outdoor options. I can have a ceremony in the rose gardens and a reception in a partially covered pavilion.

It's will make my wedding much more rustic than I imagined but it will be really beautiful. I might not be able to pull off the paper lanterns and takeout boxes but the candy buffet will be a perfect fit.

The only downside is that it is an hour away. I don't know if I want to make my guests drive that distance.

Let me know what you think.

Just beautiful...and with your ideas and touches it will have a perfect balance of rustic and chic.

The distance is okay, since you are having both the ceremony and reception at the same location.  Maybe look for little bed and breakfast that people could stay at if they wish.

This is beautiful.  :)

If your budget allows, maybe you can provide buses to your venue?  Just a thought...

omg!! it's lovely. i love the rustic feel :)

as for an hour away.. i mean.. i'm from the country so an hour is nothing for me............... so i would say go for it.

but look at it this way.
if you had your wedding in a big city.. your reception/ceremony site could be in the same city... but be 20-30 mins away anyways with traffic.. or on the other side of the city.

do what makes you happy.. its your day right? :)
