Wedding Cake
Ice Cream Cake
We decided to do ice cream cake for our wedding because my FH and I aren't huge fans of normal wedding cake but we love ice cream cake. I'm really excited about this. I hope it turns out okay. The only downfall is that the cake can't be displayed until a half hour before cutting. We are getting it from Cold Stone Creamery and half will be cake batter flavored ice cream and the other half will be cookie dough. We're going to get a stand and Cold Stone only offers 3 sizes for their round cakes in 4", 6"or 8" so we're going to do the bottom tier being 8" and then a 6" above that and another 6" above that and we'll by a spaced out stand to hold it on and decorate it with our flowers

Wedding Invitation
Going out in about a week!
I picked out my invitations. We are doing the whole Sage green motif and my mom bought them for me at Michael's. I think they are cute but my FH and I are currently trying to get the layout right and for it to print correctly. We are going to get the sage green heart stamps for the inner envelopes because they will be normal postage and my wedding planner told me that they have a wedding stamp that I think is for a heavier envelope for the outside. This picture is of the invitations that we bought

Totally Changed Decor Since Last Post
Sage, Fuschia and highlights of deep purple
So, I've changed my colors.....AGAIN. I did it awhile ago but haven't posted on here in a long time. Now, I'm back in the swing of things and headed to crunch time. My primary color is going to be Sage green. The bridesmaid dresses will be that color and the ribbons that will be going on different things. When I met with my florist, she came up with a sample bouquet that I could take home that was smaller than what they will be on the big day and it had fuschia gerber daisies, rose and some other flowers and a highlight of a deep purple flower, I think maybe an iris??? So, being only 2 and a half months out, I'm starting to feel the heat of getting my butt in gear and planning the final steps. I booked all of the major vendors but now I have to figure out the small details...ugh. It's fun but stressful.

Inspiration Board
Finally got around to doing one
This is my first inspiration board. I'm hoping it will finally help me with my color scheme since what I would like I couldn't relly picture. I originally wanted Royal or Cobalt Blue dresses because I think all my girls will look good in them and bright pink and orange flowers to create a springy feel. This is what the board looks like. I might do another one with pink and green flowers to see which I like better.

Location, Location, Location
Almost Official!
Okay, I have almost officially booked our site. I love it as long as it doesn't rain so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's like a clubhouse and the ceremony, pictures, cocktail hour and reception will all be at this one place. Guests will be moving from one area to another though to have a little change of scenery until the reception. The ceremony will be outside in their ampotheater which is beautiful as long as it doesn't rain.
UPDATE: Took out details of the date and location in case of hackers that other WBC users have mentioned! :-( |

Garter
So, I just ordered this garter. Steve will LOVE it but I'm not telling him until he takes it off. I think it's soooo cute! He's a HUGE Reskins fan.
UPDATE: I got these in the mail yesterday and they look awesome! I tried to hide them from my FH and hope he doesn't find them! |

Wedding Decoration
Candy Buffet
I love this picture of a candy buffet that someone had posted (I forget who...sorry!). And, since my dresse are going to most likely be royal or cobalt blue, I'd like my accent colors to probably be fuschia and green to brighten up the wedding and make it look springy.

Ceremony Aisle Decoration
Shepherds Hooks?
Since my wedding ceremony will be outdoors I wanted some sort of decorations to make it actually look like a wedding ceremony. I'm thinking of lining the aisles with white or off white rose petals instead of an aisle runner because I don't want to trip on it and I'm sure I would. I also like the idea of having shepherd's hooks at every, or at least every other row of seats with maybe buckets of flowers hanging from them. I'd also probably have pedestal stands with flower arrangements on top either at the alter area where we'd be standing or at the front of the aisle. Just some ideas for ceremony decorations that I don't want to forget about.

Bridesmaid Dresses...Another Change!
Hopefully the last!
So, once again my bridesmaids and I visited the boutique where we purchased my dress and to show other BMs who hadn't seen the dress we liked our choice or to possibly look at other options. Well, we ended up changing the dress yet again! I can't believe choosing BM dresses has been more stressful to me than my own dress which I picked out in 5 minutes. So, we are now going with this dress in Royal Blue. I don't like the bow though so we're going to have that removed. They don't have the picture on the website in Royal Blue but the owner of the boutique assures me that they can still do it. Here's hoping!

Ask a Question
Ringbearer Age
So, we are either not going to have a ring bearer or we could use Steve's nephwe but he's 10 and will be almost 11 by the time of our wedding. How old is too old for a ring bearer? I don't want him to look or feel out of place. I always picture ring bearers to be like 5 or somewhere around there. Thoughts??
