Ringbearer Age
So, we are either not going to have a ring bearer or we could use Steve's nephwe but he's 10 and will be almost 11 by the time of our wedding. How old is too old for a ring bearer? I don't want him to look or feel out of place. I always picture ring bearers to be like 5 or somewhere around there. Thoughts??

Hey there... I feel your pain on this one!  lol.  I alllllllllways told my nephew Thomas that he'd be my ring bearer.  But then I ended up not getting married when I assumed I would... I will be 32 at my wedding and poor Thomas will be almost 12!  haha...
He says "Auntie B I'm too OLD to do that!"
But I wouldn't let him off that easy... my daughter will be 5 and she's our flower girl.  She adores Thomas so he is now officially a "Junior Usher" but he will be escorting Taya down the aisle and then he will stand with the men on my hubby's side.
I think that's a good compromise.  I love my nephew to death and really wanted him to be a part of things, so this allows him to be without embarassing him too much!

My Ring bearer will be 7.. he is super excited.
You could assign him Junior usher and still have him carry the rings- We have no best man at our wedding ...just groomsmen so you can really do whatever you would like to.

Maybe he could carry something else besides a pillow if you think the pillow is to" immature."  Mine is going to have a jewlery box or something like that... have not decided yet

My ringbearer will be a week shy of three yrs old. He is my best friends son. So my best friend will walk with him. My flower girl is also about the same age 6 months younger.

Our ring bearer is nine.  Perfect no worries about strange things happening when you can reason with them.  Could not imagine a 2 or 3 year old....OMG I would go nuts!

Ours will be just over 2, I doubt we'll have him carry the real rings, but he'll be fine with walking down alone. 11 isn't bad, depends on his height. If he's a tall 11 year old he'll look out of place, and being a Jr Usher would be better. If he's tiny then that's fine. When my Nephew was 11 he was just over 5 ft so that wouldn't have worked.
