Rant/Putting all the pieces together!
Our wedding has had some major changes but were GOOD now!
So as you can see its been over a month since a post, and oh my goodness has it ever been a stressful month. We have changed from big wedding, to small wedding, to just a dinner party, to NO wedding, to a tropical wedding and now were back to a mid-size wedding-cutting from our original 150, down to 100. This has been the most craziest thing ever. And I dont know why its happening. I love my fiance and want to spend my life with him but holy CRAP i figured it out, IM SCARED shitless! LOL excuse my language ;) And I cant even tell you what Im scared of, I just think wedding and I start to panic and freak out. I have taken back EVERYTHING that I had originally bought, and decided to start fresh from scratch. I was sitting around one day and just decided I HATED everything that I thought I liked. Like I was in some serious tears and couldnt stop crying for like a whole day--Ive promised the fiance that I Will NOT buy another thing till Im positive I wanted it...
Anyone else feeling like they hate everything they had started and wanted to start re-planning fresh?? I try but now I seem to be in a rut....UGH this sucks. I thought planning your wedding was supposed to be this fantastic time of your life?
I know it will get better I just need to get on track HAHA

We're all moved in now...
Just moved into his parents house...
AHHH so its been a busy week. We have been living on our own for the past 2 years, and our house had come down with a BAD mice infestation. Since we were renting the owner was being really stubborn and only doing half ass jobs at fixing the problem. Anyways, since we have our son and mice are gross little creatures we decided enough with the bullsh** and we sucked it up and moved into his parents. We have the whole basement and its pretty much just like a little apartment.
So we have a couple bonuses with this:
1. We get to save for our wedding
2. We get to save for our downpayment
3. Now we might even be able to squeeze some money and go on a honeymoon :)
A couple downfalls....
1. We live with his parents....HAHA its not such a problem...just some times they get well...annoying.
Its not permenant, maybe just a lil over a year....so I can handle it
Im just wodering, any other B2Bs out there who live with their FIL's and how do you cope when times get stressful!??!

Chocolate Ask a Question If theres not going to be dancing at the wedding, what do we do?!?!

Ask a Question
If theres not going to be dancing at the wedding, what do we do?!?!
So if we decide to switch to the smaller wedding, we would have dinner in a restaurant with close friends/family....So therefore wouldnt have a DJ or dancing? Any one else doing this? I would have a laptop with 'background' music playing....but I feel like Id be missing out on me and FH first dance and daddy/daughter dance....and my mom just cant seem to grasp the idea of no dancing at a wedding....I dont think its a bad idea completely... BUT What would I put on the invites? Something like "please join us for dinner at 6pm'....Cuz' Id only want it to be a few hours like 9pm at the latest b/c were planning on taking a limo to the Falls after...
What would we do during this 'reception'...some kind of receiving line when ppl are coming in, cake cutting, toasts, dinner....than how would we politely say please leave? HAHA--would we put an end time on the invitation....that seems weird to me?
AHH please help!

Chocolate Don't know what to do... We're thinking on changing to a small wedding?

Don't know what to do...
We're thinking on changing to a small wedding?
The FH and I have been talking and are stuckkkk. We can't decide and we just keep FIGHTING about it...over and over again. Its ridiculous because its hard to decide something when we just want to argue about it. Our wedding plans right now have a guest list of 140 at a golf club...which is BIG BUCKS...so we've brought up an idea of only having close fam/friends(50 tops) and still have church ceremony and just rent out a nice small restaurant for dinner/open bar...He's complaining because of the deposit made on golf club already...its only $500...in the end would cost about 13,000 for the dinner ALONE...
We're thinking we'd do dinner, than rent a nice big limo and head down to Niagara Falls for the night with friends for a 'party' type thing since we wouldnt really be having a full reception...
We're planning on buying a house shortly after the wedding, so spending that HUGE amount on the wedding like we were planning is starting to seem crazy, just to start saving all over again for our downpayment....
What would you girls do?

Ask a Question
What exactly is an emcee for, and do I really need one?
My fiance and I really cant think of anyone to ask to be our emcee...so Im wondering if one is really necessary or if things would be alright without one? We do have a DJ who has said that he is able to announce things and such...
Typically what is an emcee responsible for anyways? We've got a small wedding party, 3 on each side, and were not doing a huge introduction of the whole bridal party, just FH and I...

What do you girls think?

Chocolate Ask a Question Can the flower girl carry the banner?

Ask a Question
Can the flower girl carry the banner?
I know typically it is the ring bearer who carries the 'here comes the bride' banner. But my ring bearer is my son, who will just had turned 2 around the wedding. I know he WONT carry this....So my question is, is it weird to have my flower girl carry the banner instead? The aisle will already have petals on it, so its not like she is going to have to throw those as she walks too...Is it ok for her, or is it just weird? I really like the banner idea, so Im just contemplating if it would be ok...

Another thought I had was the 2 of them carrying it together...but he will be 2 and she will be 3...and they dont always like to share things...Hmmm

Any suggestions? Which would be better-her on her own, or HOPING for the best and that the 2 will do it together...

DIY Wedding
I am doing all my own decorating and I dont know where to start or what to do...
I am decorating the church and our reception site on my own(well with the help of friends/fam ofcourse)...I am just soo lost as to what I can do to make it look professional and not just something 'thrown' together...Our church is soo 'dark' looking I am lost as to what I can do to brighten it up--I am thinking probably just using a lot of white to make it brighter and pop a bit...
For the reception site you have to walk up stairs to get to the banquet hall...so I am thinking of decorating the stair well somehow...and than ....I have no cllluuuee...
Any good decorating tips??

Has anyone used or know of the pre-made arches at Michaels?
At Michaels they have an 8-ft(but may be 6ft, Im not positive) pre-made, pre-lit, pre-decorated arch in a box. Next week is 50% off and I am considering this as one of the things to buy/ Im just wondering if anyone knows which one Im talking about and if they recommend it as a good choice? With the 50% off it'd prob be around 35$...worth it or no?
