I know I have posted about a billion blogs lately...... but I've been very bored....
Anyway, this is a playlist of some of the music I am using for the wedding. Well, the only definite songs are Making April and Heartland, but the others are options. I am having quite a time thinking of a song to walk down the aisle. I am not sure if I want a lyrical song or if I want something classical. First we were going to use a part of a song from Halo 3 (video game). It's actually a really pretty piece, but the part we wanted is only about 30 seconds long and I went to our venue and walked the aisle and it is about a 1 minute 40 second walk! (Longest walk EVER!), so I have to find something a little lengthier.
Michael Buble- Everything: this I want to use as the recessional.
Making April- These are the Nights: this is our song and we are using it for our first dance. The actual version we are using wasn't available on the site, but you can listen to the actual version on our wedding website (www.weddingwire.com/kennyandchristy)
Heartland- I loved her first: The father daughter dance, obviously. This song makes me cry, especially at the part where it says "the one that I read all those fairy tales to, and tucked into bed all those nights," because my dad really did used to read me a book every night and tuck me in when I was little.
Rick Astley- Never gonna give you up: I want to use this as the entrance to the reception for the wedding party as well as us. Kenny and I basically think this song is a joke, but it's hilarious and so 90s. Love it.
Flight of the Conchords- Foux du Fafa: I don't know if anyone has seen this show, but Kenny is obsessed with the CD and it has definitely grown on me. They are a band based on a TV show. They are from New Zealand and basically make fun of all sorts of music. You should definitely check out "Mutha Uckas." Hilarious. Anyway, I was thinking of using this song during the cake cutting.
Gunther- Ding Dong Song: Ok, this may be slightly inappropriate, but you have to laugh at this song. I just want this as a song to dance to. I can't believe people in Europe take this guy seriously...
