Monogram Letter Order

I know that the bride's name is first on everything usually and my monogram will be that way, but I'm ordering a unity sand ceremony set and since that is something we will keep forever should the vase have his initial first on the monogram or do we stick to mine first.

The ettiquette is ladies first, therefore yours goes first regardless.  But if you want something less traditional or more equal you could just have the lastname initial if you are taking his name.
