My Red Crinoline!
![]() OK so I decided to go with the black shoes (Sweetlife by Nine West) and a red crinoline ($50 precolored from www.bridalpetticoat.com). I LOVE IT! I think it is sooooooo kick ass and sassy! I'm going to get a super glittery-red pedicure to go with it. The shoes are really comfy and have the chunkier heel for outside. ![]() |

Ask a Question
Need Shoe Opinions!!!
![]() OK ladies! I need some advice on which shoes to go with. My dress is a black and white Alfred Angelo and I thought it would be really cute to go with some cherry red shoes like maybe these Ninas. BUT I'm also totally in love with the black Nine West shoes - and was thinking if I do black shoes I would go for a bright red pedicure and cherry red crinoline under the dress. All I DO know is that I need a chunkier heel for being outdoor and on the decking around my venue - and these two options fit the bill. Thoughts? Opinions? Aggghhhh - I can't decide!!! TIA! :) ![]() |

Red Pomanders
![]() I'm going to alternate mason jar lanterns and ribbons with red pomanders down my outdoor aisle. I made this pomander using silk carnations that I bought from "Roseys Garden" on ebay. It took about 50 stems to cover a 4" foam ball. I dipped the cut stems (left stems about 2.5" long) into foam glue before I inserted them into the foam ball, and I pinned the ribbon to the ball using a floral pin also dipped in glue. Some gals I know have also had success using a hot glue gun. I still have 3 more to go! I purchased the shepherd hooks at Walmart when they had all the garden stuff out this summer. I bought the 48" hooks for about $5 a piece. I also saw some at Joanne Fabrics this summer too, but I think they are a seasonal item b/c I haven't seen them recently. ![]() |

Damask Votive Covers
![]() This project was inspired by the "Lovin' the DIY" blog on weddingbee.com. I used vellum paper that I printed 4 for different damask patterns on using my home inkjet printer. Then I cut them out and used double-sided tape to affix them to the glass. They came out really well but it took a long time to do 80 votives! This has been my favorite DIY project so far! :) ![]() |

Damask Cake Table Letters
![]() I used wooden letters from Hobby Lobby and painted them with black acrylic paint (2 coats), then rubberstamped them with silver ink (my colors are black and white but the silver ink was just too fun to pass up!). I then sealed them with 2 coats of clear satin acrylic spray paint from Krylon. This project was so easy and fun! I think I might do a matching monogram letter to go on our guest book table! :) ![]() |
