I'm a Watters Bride!
Over the past couple of weeks I have been looking at this used Maggie Sottero dress that I just fell in loved with and was only selling for $350 but it was a size 8 with a corset back. I was for sure getting the dress when the lady I work with said I should go in a bridal shop and try on the size 8 before I buy just to make sure it fit. well...it didnt, And while I was there the lady had me try on the Brigette by Watters...I fell in LOVE with it and cried when I saw it in the mirror, I never in a million years would have EVER gone for anything like that just browsing online. I'm paying $1000 for this one but it is sooooo worth it. I can't flippin believe it. Unfortunately I dont just have that kind of money sitting pretty in my bank account so I had to put it on layaway, which is fine as long as no one else gets it! It just needs a bustle put in it and taken in a tiny tiny bit at the lower back which the lady said if I do the alterations through their shop it wont cost more than $100 and TA DA...I have my dream dress!
Have any of you other brides went dress shopping looking for one particular thing and ended up loving something totally opposite of what you thought? I hope I'm not the only one lol |

Has anyone seen the Cricut? This is the neatest little thing...but the $300-400 price tag is not! lol
I was up early one morning...and i mean early...and the infomercial for this thing was on. It is the coolest craft thing I have ever seen. I was wondering if any of you ladies on here has this. I was looking n Etsy for the 'Here Comes the Bride' banner and they just want way too much for a little banner. And for the bigger one...its even more (duh i know lol). And sitting here bored at work was thinking that this would be a great machine to make my own...if I owned one lol Does anyone have this little thing OR is it possible someone could make my banner for me for a lesser price that Etsy is asking? |

Vases?!?!
Does anyone know where to buy vases at a good wholesale price? I have put the final 2 centerpiece ideas up...I want you ladies' opinions. I am choosing 2 centerpieces to split up between all 14 tables. Let me know which 2 you guys think we will be good together. I was mostly thinking half tall, half short but the only short pic ive found is reall really short lol. But i plan on surrounding it with pink votive candles and pics of us. So let me know your opinions. Thanks!
P.S. And don't forget...still need good place to buy vases. |

My Kissing Balls
Here they are....after the advice from a few wonderful brides...I finally finished one of my kissing balls for the aisle. It took what seems like forever to make the flowers to make this but it turned out sooo much better than I had thought. Let me know what you ladies think.
Now just another 5000 more flowers to finish all of my balls lol |

Finally picked out the girls' dresses!!!
So yesterday we went to Davids Bridal and the girls were able to try on different styles of dresses, and they picked one. It was soooo much fun. I was soooo happy to finally get them all in one place together because I've been really worried that one might drop out but...NOPE! I even tried on a few and did like one but since I already have 2, and I don't even know what to do with those yet, i'm still thinking. Here are a few pics of my fave girls and me during our 1st fitting. And we decided to go out afterwards for something to eat and some much needed drinks.
5 months is going to go by so fast and I still have tons to do! Boy, this is getting soooo stressful! |

My mother had gotten these as a Christmas gift for FH and me. She had 'Mrs.Ogden' and 'Mr.Ogden' put on them. I like them because they are very simple yet elegant. And they're really heavy too...lol.

My Corset Candles
I saw a DIY project on Michaels.com a while back and a couple days ago saw a bride had made a post about so I figured since I had the day off with nothing to do I would head to the craft store and see what I could find. Ended up getting just a couple candles and scrapbook paper just to try it out. They look like they came out pretty good to me. I know I have to make alot more but here are my "test runs"...lol
Does anyone know where to get cheap candles? I got these at 50% off and they were still kind of expensive. Spent $23 on 3 candles, ribbon and 2 sheets of scrapbook paper. There has to be a cheaper way to do this. |

~*Finally found the dresses*~
A few days ago I saw one girl post a blog about a website that has sells vintage looking dresses and stuff. I checked it out and found a great dress for my bridesmaids. I absolutely love the vintage look and they definitely fit everyone's budget...which makes me exceptionally happy. It's not EXACTLY what I was looking for but I love my girls and they're all beautiful, and with some beautiful flowers and the right jewelry...they'll look fabulous! (Maybe add a pink sash or something...what do you think?)
So thank you girls who have posted a blog about this website (www.unique-vintage.com)...you saved me on this subject! I also found a few dresses I like for the rehearsal dinner...i just have to pick one...which is the hard part lol |
