Honeymoon
It's not Jamaica....It's Domincan Republic!
Yes, it's one week before our wedding and we just booked our honeymoon...YESTERDAY!!! We were planning on going to Couples Negril in Jamaica but they were booked up. But what do you expect when you wait to the last minute to book the #2 best honeymoon resort. I couldnd't believe we actually got our 2nd choice Excellence in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Now I think I am more excited about the honeymoon than I am about the wedding!!! PUNTA CANA HERE WE COME!!!!!! |

I LOVE my ringbearer pillow. I wish I could take all the credit but I can't. It all goes to my MOH!! She is awesome! She found a small square box and bought moss to cover it. The ribbon is the exact ribbon that is going around each tier of my wedding cake!! |

Flip Flops for my MOH and Bridesmaid
I am so proud of these flip flops I did for my girls! I bought the flip flops at Old Navy. I found the buttons at Walmart, one says "Celebrate Love" and the other says "Hope". Really cool that I found them in my colors. I bought orange and pink ribbon, cut them in to strips and tied them on the straps of the flip flop. SOOOOOO EASY and SOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!! |

I received my garters in the mail just the other day. They look awesome!! I kept seeing girls posting garters that were sports related on here. So I did a google search and found Garters by Kristi's website. I was excited when I saw she had University of South Carolina toss and keepsake garters. My FH graduated from there and is a true die hard fan. He doesn't know I ordered them, it will be huge surprise when he slips it off my leg!!! EEEKKK! :o) |

Which one of you posted a candle centerpiece in a bowl last week???
One of you posted a picture of a candle centerpiece sometime last week or maybe the week before. The candle was white/ivory and sat in a bowl that looked like a fish bowl. The candle looked like it sat on rose petals inside the bowl. Hell, I might have commented on your post because I thought it was so pretty. Anyway, I like it and want to use it for my outside tables at my reception but I don't know who you are and I'm tired of going through everybody!! I even searched tags with no luck!!!! So if you are the one and see this comment me back or if any of you other ladies know who posted it let me know! I'm on a mission!!! LOL :o) |

These are the tuxes that he finally decided on. The only difference is the tie and vest. His will be ivory to match me! The best man and groomsman will wear the same tux but black vest and fushia tie. I think picking out the tuxedo was harder than picking out my dress!!! |

15 Days left and OMG, can we say STRESSED!!!!!!
Those who are getting married this month....Has it finally hit you that you have little or no time left to get the minor details done?? Do you wake up in the middle of the night and think of something you haven't done yet or forgot to do? Are you stress eating like I am? Not a good thing, BTW! I feel like it's not going to come together. Everbody keeps telling me not to sweat the small stuff. That seems impossible! My mind won't stop racing of all the things that still need to come together. How many feel the tention between you and your "soon2b"? Mine has been distant and reclusive. He hasn't been as affectionate as usual and quite snippy. Right now is when I need him the most and I don't feel like were connected. The wedding hoopla has taken precedence over what brought us together and what really matters. I know it's not cold feet and he loves me dearly. He is just stressed over the wedding and buying a new house. Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth it?!? Any of ya'll feel the same? Feel free to let loose and vent!! |

Finally found a shoe for this cinderella!
Here it is 2 1/2 weeks before the wedding and I finall found my shoes!! I must say I like them but I'm not thrilled with them. I don't like the type of heel it has, but that is what I get for having my dress hemmed to the size of the heel vs. the look of the shoe.
***Advice ladies! Make sure you have the exact shoe you like before you have your dress altered/ hemmed!! Don't base it on heel size and then find a shoe!! |

Wedding Dress
Did them last night....so excited!!!
I went for my boudoir photo shoot last night. It was so exciting and I think I got some really great pictures! I am going back this evening to see the proofs and pick the ones I like best to put in a small album to give to him the day of the wedding. Our photographer is going to take a shot of expression when he opens it!! All I have to say is.....major props to the models out there that do this for a living!! It wasn't easy and posing is difficult, it doesn't feel natural. You wonder how in the world is this going to look good, but it does. I have never been so sore the next day and I work out!! Through all the pain it's worth it! |

Went with the 4 piece style fan
I bought the kit at Micheals, 2 boxes for $35 dollars each (I think it was). The website that you go to to print is fairly easy. I am printing in black ink and tying pink and orange ribon at the bottom of each fan! More work for me!!! *** Don't want to decieve you guys, the paper in the kit is an ivory. I just loved the picture bc they were my colors!!*** |

Good Ole Backyard Southern BBQ!
We were going to have a nice sit down dinner at this semi formal italian restaurant. It probably would have cost us around $600. Then we started thinking, our wedding party is small and just family. My family has yet to meet his family and they can't get acquainted sitting at the other end of the table so we thought we would have a casual backyard BBQ! Plus it will save us a lot of money!!! There will be kids there, and they can run around and play while the families mingle and drink beer! I think it's a fantasitic idea! |

My MOH/BFF/Cousin is coming to SC this weekend!!
I am so excited my MOH/BFF/Cousin (more like my sister) and her busband are coming to SC with me this weekend for the first time.She is the first out of my family to visit where I will be living. I finally get to share that with somebody! It's not going to be all play though:o( Andrea is also my wedding coordinator. She is awesome!!!! So we have to make use of the weekend and get a lot done!! |

My boss found these bags at an Invitation Boutique on clearance for $5.00 each!!!!! They aren't the colors of my wedding but I couldn't pass up these adorable totes as cheap as they were. I saw them at the Merle Norman store in SC where I bought my bridesmaids necklaces,they were $25 dollars there. Can't help but get excited when your on a budget!!!!! Ain't that right, ladies! |

My Two Sweet Girls
My flower girls are going to be my two beautiful daughters from a previous marriage, Charleigh and Carson. I am so excited to have them be a part of the wedding!!! My oldest is nervous about everybody staring at her and my youngest can't wait! Two polar opposites!!! Instead of carrying baskets they are going t o carry pommanders made up of pink and orange gerbera daisies. I am thinking about taking the flowers off the front of their dresses and tying a hot pink ribbon around their waist like my bridesmaids or maybe black. Not sure??? Any suggestions...... |

DIY....Kinda.
Here are my invitations!! I sent them out last week, can't believe I actually got them out on time!!! I found the card stock at Michaels, it has three daisies at the top. I thought it was perfect considering my flowers are going to be daisies. I found sample wording online and then made it my own by adding a few things. I found the hot pink and black polka dot ribbon at Walmart (yes! Walmart), punched holes at the top and tied a bow. Well....let me re phrase that....my best friend/ cousin/ MOH tied the bows because I sucked at it!!!! lol :o) |

UPDATE....Unfortunantly we didn't get the house we wanted. We put an offer on the house and the seller didn't want to come off her asking price. I guess that is the reason it's been sitting there a year!!! I am sure it will sit there another year!! I don't know many people that will pay exactly what the seller is asking for. Not to mention my fiance used to be a real estate appraiser and worked the figures. The house is over priced!!! We're chalking it up to it wasn't meant to be. It's back to house hunting for us. Wish us luck!!!!!! :o) We went house hunting this weekend! Lots of fun but very tiring!! This is the house we decided on, funny enough it was the first house we looked at. My fiance is going to make an offer this week. Pray the builder accepts the offer!! We really fell in love with this house!! It's everything we were looking for! I will keep ya'll updated! |

Couldn't have done any better!
I happen to walk by a Merle Norman makeup store in SC this past weekend. I noticed one side of the store was a boutique and thought I would check it out. It was the neatest store, so many ideas! I saw this necklace hanging up. I loved it!! It has the exact colors in my wedding. They only had two sets, which was perfect since I only have two bridesmaids!! I think the necklaces were meant for me.....actually my bridesmaids :0)

We finally booked a caterer. A friend of ours works for a food service company and knows resturaunts that do catering. He recommended Sweet Magnolia to us and told them to hold the date. We looked over the menu and were very pleased! We're going with a sit down dinner (buffet style) since the wedding is at 6pm. So excited everything is coming together and still have 42 days to go!!! |

We're having our wedding and reception here! My fiance said it was beautiful and the landscaping was magnificent! It was one of his favorite places he looked at. Good thing I trust his opinion, still living in VA I won't be traveling to SC to see the site until next weekend! It's just been pictures and slideshows of the place for me! haha!

I love my ring!!! My fiance ordered the diamond from Blue Nile with all the specifications he wanted. I must say he did his homework!! Then he took the diamond to someone he knew at a local jewelry store and had it set in a six prong tiffany cathedral setting that he picked out. (Not the setting shown in the side view) I love the fact that he picked everything out!

Wedding Dress
I am so excited!!! I found my dress today at David's Bridal. I had so much fun trying on all the different dresses. My Mom and cousin Andrea (maid of honor) were there. We goofed off and acted silly and made it memorable.
I had my heart set on a dress that I saw online. It was the first dress I tried on and kept coming back to it until I tried on this dress. Once I put it on I totally forgot about the first dress I had originally picked out. It's amazing how that happens! |
