Wedding is Off!
I am fine!
To make a long, drawn out, drama-filled story short....the wedding is so0000 off. I forgot to log back oon in February to inform you guys, but just to let you all know I am doing better then ever before.
I would not want my worst enemy to experience what I just did. HELL NO! Ladies, if you are having the slightest doubt, PLEASE don't do it until you are completely sure. I enjoyed sharing ideas with you all and venting. I will be around though, but as a vendor. Wedding Dress
David's Bridal Fiasco...1st bridezilla moment
Sooo as you all know....Ive been back and forth trying fifty million dresses on that would work for me. All of which I chose(up until yesterday) really did nothing for my shape.
I called David's bridal to see if I can swap out my layaway if I find another dress in store and the stinkin rep told me NO that if I cancel it, I would have to purchase the dress out right and the layaway option would not be extended to me. Ok whatever so I told her I was coming to cancel my layaway and forfeit the 10%. My Co-worker(also my bridesmaid) and I went to a small bridal boutique during our lunch break. I must admit, that the was the happiest experience ever trying dresses on. Ms Geneva(store rep) at Brides Corner was so patient and helpful. So anyway...I tried on about 4 dresses before trying on ALMOST THEE ONE dress. This dress as pictured to left is a "Forever yours dress" originally priced for about $700.00 but was on sale for $389.00. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA $389.00 It was beautiful and I was actually able to see myself in it on my day but I still wasnt total love with it but I was gonna go for it until I got to Hell. So I call David's upon leaving the other boutique to let the consultant know we were on our way, and the SM gets on the phone to say 'Ohhhh we have this new beautiful dress that just came in and I know you will love it. She then says not to worry about the other rep and she would work with me an that bulllllllll....whatever So my MOH and I arrived to DB to do the layaway cancellation anyway because my mind was set on the Foreveryours dress, however the SM prcoesses the cancellation and says "Ok you will receive your check in 3-4weeks" as we do not refund our customers cash. What b****???????????? So I am going off. After the wrong choice of words I knew it was time for me to leave the store. I was sure that I would release my leg to kick down every maniquin and rack. I proclaimed it aloud to them that I would upon leaving the store. THIS was not all though. So my planner arrives and lets the SM have it too (in a very professional way)....blah blah blah. To make a long story longer.....I tried on the new dress, fell in love it and switched the dresses out and still have my layaway without forfeiting any monies. The SM says "you only shop for one husband so stop shopping for a dress". OMG was that neccessary? So i did good I was like ok cool whatever. THEN the garden tool says as we are looking at the MOH dresses, if you come back again, I dont know what to tell you. LIke wtf........................garden tool are you serious. So my advice to you brides are to try other boutiques rather than David's bridal. They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OVERATED. PS. I promised my planner and MOH that I wouldnt show you all the dress. Since you all were very helpful, I want it to be a surprise to you all too. :) The dress pictured is the ALMOST it dress from the other boutique. |

Per the DB consultant....Dresses ordered in Lapis are not taking 21 weeks to be shipped, so even us 2011 brides, we have got to make some final decisions so that the ladies can order their dresses.
Who would have thought Lapis would be so popular. Just an FYI. Not sure if it applies all over, but to the GA, NC, SC brides it does. |
