Wowie!!!! I think it could be less feathers used and not made into an umbrella effect. Already with the damask look, it makes it look overloaded and to busy! Maybe less feathers it will tone it down a bit?

I think this is GREAT! I'm actually doing the same thing but with black ostrich feathers. Not overboard at ALLLL in my opinion. Very glam looking!

i am doing this centerpiece for some of my tables... I am using white feathers and less feathers... If I were you I would have a solid table linen, (it does look busy with the damask pattern underneath like Mrs. Rhonda said) I have some pictures I like of them, email me if you would like to see them sweetie!

I agree with gorgeous6. I think a solid linen would look better because it does look busy.

I think you could do the floor length damask linen and then put a black linen over that like half way...that way it wouldn't be as busy, but you still have the beautiful damask print

I love the look of the damask table but yeah the feather are to much (maybe its because their purple and I LOVE purple)
I agree if ya did that do a solid linen.

However youre in a dark room and it may actually look elegant with low lights and the vase lit up..

If using the white vase with the purple feathers I vote for solid black linen, white or damask napkins. The tablerunner with the napkins and then the feathers creates too many lines - the napkins and runner are straight and the feathers are curvey. Maybe use napkin rings to soften the napkins on the table....

I actually sent this picture out to one of my cousins who lives in New York and she's an interior decorator. She has a sense of humor, but very serious about her decorating.

She emailed me back:
Too Busy!  The feather centerpiece does not have to be so big and the table might make a person who has had too much to drink get dizzy and throw up.   Also, it looks like you have to search for your utensils. It's just to busy! You need only a dash of damask in areas. It's to powerful. Maybe skip around with the damask sprouts, but not overboard. Just to busy.
