Wedding Flowers
Flowers are so traditional!
For my wedding I am using clutches instead of flowers. Why spend money on flowers that are going to die? When I can use that money on clutches (that will not die) that the girls can use when walking down the center of the isle. The design of the clutches will have flowers on them and a 0lop will be attached that the ladies can use to hold it. Not only will they be able to carry them...they will end up being my gift to my girls. I will include items such as mints, lip gloss, tissues (for tears), and a compact. I figured that the money that I was going to waste on flowers could be spent a bit more wisely. Since my girls will be in teal/black cocktail dresses I will have them carry a silver clutch to match their silver heals and accessories.

Wedding Budget
Budget & Guest list go hand and hand!
The day after my fiancee and I got engaged we sat down and did a guest list. Once we were able to do the guest list it made it a whole lot easier for us to come up with a wedding budget. We figured roughly on the high end what everything would cost us and came up with an overall budget that both him and I were comfortable with. Our budget was done on the sole basis that only him and I would be contributing to it. We are not factoring in what family & friends may give us because we don't want to depend on that. Anything that we do recieve will just end up being and added bonus. After coming up with the budget we opened up a joint Checking & Savings account that is strictly for the wedding. With this account we pay the vendors and buy items pretaining to the wedding. I would suggest that all couples do this and try to stick to their budget as much as possible. Remember, the reception, photographer, and honeymoon will be the most costly things as far as the wedding is concerned. Plan wisely and don't stray to far from your budget.

Wedding Decoration
Damask Wedding Theme
For a while now everyone has been asking me if I was having theme for the wedding. At first I said,"No". Now that I am really involved in the wedding process, I think that we are going to have a damask theme wedding. I have seen this color many times and didn't realize it actually had a name. Here is an example of what the ring bearer pillow and flower girl basket will look like. I was able to find this vendor online and she peronalizes everything based on the colors you are choosing to incorporate in your wedding. The items I ordered will have teal and silver incorporated into some how. Please tell me what you think.
