Bridesmaids
A few new things I've created!
Hey WBC! I really miss you all ! I've been really busy with my new wedding planning business. I'll be participating in my first two bridal shows in March! Exciting! Studying to become a planner, when my own wedding got cancelled is truly awful stuff, but I am doing the best that I can to deal with it. I think I'm doing quite well actually.Its very hard to let go, but each day that goes by is each day that I remind myself, "DREAM OVER!" I get further and further from this major step and closer and closer to square one. I just have to take it one day at a time, and with prayer hopefully I will have it like all my WBC lovelies! :-) At the rate I'm going, I'll be 40 before I even get started :-( I know, I know....age ain't nothing but a number.Yeah right! I beg to differ, somethings you do time out of. You ever seen an older bride and thought to yourself, "what was she thinking picking that dress? your time for that is over, dear!" :-) Oh well, I'm just glad that I haven't strangled anyone yet! :-)
Anyhoo...I've joined a couple of wedding and small business network groups, so I've been busy going to mixers, gathering vital information, researching the wedding industry in my area, and assisting my two summer brides! Sorry, I've been MIA, girls. I really wish there was a way to get rid of this screen name. I may have to sit down and create a new profile soon, but anyhoo.....
I'm blessed to say that i've been a busy bee! I'm working with three brides already! Summer of 2012 shall be very busy for me! I've also been contacted regarding a 50th bday! So where there was huge letdowns, blessings immediately followed and for that, I am truly grateful. I am also studying for my certifcation. All of this keeps me distracted & occupied, which is exactly how I need to be right about now. (I've added my latest craft for your viewing pleasure:-) As for the color schemes, I AM LOVING EACH ONE OF MY BRIDE'S CHOICES! CAN'T WAIT TO PUT MY UMPH INTO THEIR SPECIAL DAY! :-) Miss you ladies, what have you been up to? |

Wedding Planner
This puts me in a Unique situation, but....
Planning is what I do! I didn't decide to get into this all for it to go flop!
I've got two brides that I already started working with prior to my own wedding getting cancelled, so someway somehow, I must pull myself together. It is very, very hard I admit. To look it in the face, knowing you wish it were you, is tough. I even went to a bridal shop with one of my brides Saturday! But you know what, I'm happy for her! It shows that she's happy, and that's how it should be. With that said, here's a bouquet I've put together for her. My business will formerly launch hopefully in February. As for my shower, also because I put sooooo much work into it, I cannot bear to let that day go, so stay tuned to see my ladies luncheon come together! Hope all you ladies are having a fabulous time! |

well, girls...as you already know, I had been feeling some sort of way for awhile now, and as my luck would have it, FOUR DAYS BEFORE OUR ANNIVERSARY MIND YOU, this man has decided that getting married isn't the right thing to do now. After all the planning, sacrificing, struggling, etc., now you tell me? smh!
no, its mainly that we were going in two separate paths. and he wasn't ready for the path he originally said he wanted to be on. I feel so foolish to have trusted him, but i know in time, God will heal me and send me a deserving husband one day. More patience and healing is required. |

Petal runner--glamdiva inspired this post:-)
So, I saw my fellow bride post her petal runner, and after telling her I'd post mine, here goes! :-)
I pretty much used the same tulle as glamdiva, but with a few changes as far as technique is concerned. Yes, girl....I'm one of those that its taking days and days, because I have no help :-( But its all good, I kinda like this project:-) Also, instead of spray glue, I used the hot glue gun. I did initially try the spray but because I have future plans for these, I figured I better secure it as best as I can now. Our wedding is supposed to be in less than 90 days, but I must be honest, i'm not excited. I was supposed to send my shower invites out this past weekend, but that is on hold. Pray for me, girls. anyhoo....on to the petals!!! I've also posted a couple pics of some other projects that are done. |

INVITATIONS ARE ALMOST FINISHED BUT CATERING, TABLES & CHAIRS, HONEYMOON, REHEARSAL, CAKE, PHOTOGRAPHER, VIDEOGRAPHER.....ALLLLL STILL HAVE BALANCES! YIKES! AND ITS BEEN SUPER STRESSFUL ! TRUTHFULLY, I WANT THIS WEDDING OVER! I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SAY, "THERE WE DID IT!" BUT I WANT IT HERE AND OVER WITH ALREADY! ANY OF YOU GIRLS IN THE SAME BOAT? |

The FH's bday party was a success!
last Saturday was OUTSTANDING!
The FH's party turned out fabulous! He was surprised and happy. I really enjoy giving joy unto others. Plus, I know I'm good at it :-)
The talk of the night, the fabulous cake Because the theme was Old School Hip Hop and this is his favorite sneaker brand, I had a local baker make him a sneaker cake:   A lot of my FB buddies say that this looks like I'm in training for the big day:  And this held a variety of mini cupcakes. Once the party started, I had the staff bring out platters of red velvet, triple chocolate, carrot cake and cookies & cream GOODNESS :-) :  Difficult to see, but once the tables were finished, they were decorated with pics of Old School Hip Hop Artists in photo cubes:  THE DJ ROCKED ALLLLL NIGHT, EVERYONE ENJOYED THEMSELVES, ESPECIALLY THE MAN OF THE HOUR, SO MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! :-) |
