I'm so excited that they are done and I want to share! I didnt want to post this until I sent the invitations out. And now I can!! Just a little background -- I jump at the chance to make the invitations for all of my friends' events. I did my sister's wedding last year. You could say it's my thing. So for mine I was really excited and nervous about making mine. They had to be perfect -- and then are exactly what I wanted!
I designed them all myself. The pictures dont show the detail or how the color pops on the paper, but they came out better than I could have hoped. A local printer provided the printing and cutting services.
I bought the paper and pocketfolds from paperandmore.com. Their prices, selection and service were nothing but amazing. I used the black metallic pocketfolds and they are just gorgeous. For the cardstock I used the pearl white metallic cardstock for everything else and I was AMAZED by the quality. The printer carries Envelopments which is gorgeous and the ladies at the shop were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the paper and thought it was smoother than the stardream (so this paper was better to print on). I was very happy with this. I used the pearl white metallic envelopes for the enclosures and printed the couples names on this with Harrys laser printer at work. I was not sure if his laser printer would handle this kind of paper and it worked like a charm. And I used plain white envelopes for the outer envelopes to not overkill the pearlescent.
Since I was so excited I did a little photo shoot with the invitations -- total dork. :)
